As a matter of fact Jeff Lacy was going to be on this very show, but his shoulder injury prevented that from happening. So was Curtis Stevens but Jaidon was already there and they did not want to eventually fight one another.

My problem with this season is that 2 of the favorites(bika-soliman) are already contenders, but when they stepped up to the highest level, they lost(i think soliman was robbed in the first mundine fight though), and i dont expect much more from them, so i hope one of the young untested guys beats one of these guys very decisevely, because that really would put him in the level of a top contender, in terms of record in the level of green, bute and lacy...
It's like watching a college basketball tournament of teams that didn't make the NCAA tournament, or any postseason at all. And now people want to ***** because someone who made the NIT is wrecking the parade...

Or doing a reality baseball show of guys who have already been sent down to the minors for an extended amount of time - but then having them all compete for a chance to get back on a major league team...

It's all garbage to me. It just makes boxing look even more side-show. I know it comes down to money for most of these guys, but I'd rather my comeback not include cameras in my face during anything other than an actual professional match.

Actually you dont even have to win to get a title shot...Manfredo, Forbes just like a title shot against Oscar, Gomez. The Contender is great for boxing believe or not. The show bring in non boxing fans and excitedment to the boxing world.
