If Dawson has so many trainers, there's a good chance that he isn't easy to work with. To me, regardless of how crazy Mayweather may be, he made sense here.. That fruitcake line was hilarious.

Nah, I HAVE TO SAY TRUTHFULLY...WHEN I trained Chad we had a very very very good working relationship. He did EVERY SINGLE THING I asked him/told him to do, listened very well. Trained hard, wasnt afraid to put the hard work in and never questioned anything. The monkey wrench got throwninto the whole thing when he signed with Gary Shaw. He told me the very next day that he still wanted me to train him but it was a thing where the gym I trained him at was paid for by the manager he was in the process of leaving unnannounced...so, as I told him, I dont think the guy will just let me continue training you in his gym with no problem, you know? And my situation here at home wouldnt allow for me to take off for three weeks or more at a time anymore.... and that was the beginning of the end

You must be smacking yourself over that one, I mean who wouldn't want to train a talent as good as his all the way to the top.

Nah, I have no regrets. Of course if I could have still trained Chad I would have... but if I was to travel each day to where he lives to train him I would have had to sacrifice my amateur kids and it would have also made it very hard to put the proper time in with the other guys. think I made the right choice all things considered.

I think he would be taken a lot more seriusly if he didnt make it out like no fighter can do anything if he isnt the one telling them to do so. There are MANY good trainers in the world other than him.

On another note, does anyone even think that Diaconu will be able to get anywhere near hitting Dawson in the chops? The size and athleticism differences are quite a bit in favor of Chad. Diaconu looked like a pretty solid fighter in his last fight, but he's gonna take some punishment trying to get inside. Chad has that nice jab and uppercut.
It will be probably hard. But lately I've been getting the eerie feeling that Chad my get clocked badly. I saw the pic of Chad and Adrian this morning on ********* and it reminded me of the match-up in UFC not too long ago b/w George St. Pierre and Matt Serra. The funny thing is Diaconu looks so much like Serra and he's got good athleticism on top of it. Chad is like George St. Pierre, all the talent in the world, reach advantage, skill, speed and what no. Chad just like St. Pierre can't take it well on the chin though.
