The WBC is the weakest division right now in the heavyweight division. Maskaev's probably the weakest of the 4 champion and the future defenses are an inactive fighter and OLIVER MCCALL?

    LOL
That's hella funny Mccall and Vitali are some sad ppl to fight for WBC.
man at least mccall did something to deserve the title, let him go for it goddamn he'll probably retire after he loses like Holyfield. (Holyfield will win though) I would love nothing more then to see Peter whup that tall ass Klitschko but Vitali is way too fragile. The Byrd fight, getting cut with Lewis, injuries and injuries omg everyone is getting injured.

Well if Holy is getting a title shot, anyone can get a title shot.

as stated in the above post holyfield has done nothing to deserve his

or are you gonna contend that vitali klitschko should fight jeremy bates fres oqenso and louu savarese to make himself more deserving?

dont be so biased, vitli is more deserving than 9 out of 10 world title challengers nowadays

I have to disagree. Yeah you're right about Holyfield's opponents, but the point is that he FOUGHT somebody. They might have been bums but he is healthy enought to fight for a belt. Vitali seems to get hurt a lot and he hasnt fought in years. So thats why I cant agree with you summary.

some of you haters need to lay the **** off of vitali's nuts. klitschko will come back when he ****ing wants to - enough said. but i will go on.

ppl need to stop talking **** about the most honest guy in boxing. he could have easily made up some bull**** excuse (to make the delay sound better), like everyone else does. but he is a good guy and tells it straight up. he has a minor back injury - that's it. nothing serious. he is not being a *****, just looking out for his interest. he even feels bad for the fans because now we have to wait a bit longer to see a real fighter in the ring instead of the paper peice of **** fighters we have now - with the exception of wladimir who has done eveything he should have to be #1.

dmaclv - you know what real men do? they fight. they don't whisper about it on forums. what's your pro record? are you not a pro? what the **** is your excuse, tough guy?

are you saying vitali doesn't deserve a title shot? because if you are, you need to remind yourself that he has earned his staus to be able to come back at any time and fight for the title immediately. the only reason he retired is because he didn't want to hold things up in the division with his knee injury. really, he should be training for a title fight - that's what an emeritus status means. he shouldn't even have to fight an eliminator bout.

You missed my point. I can see that you're a Vitali fan and thats cool but he is not the same fighter that he was many years ago. He seems to hurt himself during training and he would absolutly get killed if he get in the ring with any of the HW belt holders.(just my opinion) His timing will be off and I cant see him taking a punch like he use to. IMO He needs a tune-up fight before he try to fight the winner of Peter-Maskeav.

I don't think he deserves a title shot...He is playing with boxing emotions his training/injury/training/injury games..He needs to first prove that he can stay health. He is holding things up just by accepting fights and pulling out with less that two months to go...I'm a fan but I've had enough with the injury games...
