An injury to the spine, ironic isn't it?

This is ridicolous, Vitali is making some bad decisions. He should not have cancelled the fight with McCline, maybe postponed it. Without a tune up fight i find it even harder for him to win a world belt with so many years without a fight, and I think it is disrespectful to McCline what he is doing. Although he would have probably destroyed him.

Yes, it is. The only consolation we have is that he's much more likely to lose his WBC title "comeback" fight and we won't have to deal with him in the title picture again if he doesn't so much as try for a tune-up since his last fight.

The WBC is the weakest division right now in the heavyweight division. Maskaev's probably the weakest of the 4 champion and the future defenses are an inactive fighter and OLIVER MCCALL?

          LOL

He should prove himself fit by fighting a tune up BEFORE any title shot. imagine if he pulls this **** weeks before a Sam Peter fight? He should respect his fellow professionals and only continue if he is 100% sure of being fit. No wonder the HW division is a joke with the general boxing fan.

its obvious what he's doing. he knows the chances of getting reinjured again are high...so he wants only 1 fight against the champion. the chances of him going injury free through another round of training and the entire fight are slim to none ,,imo. he should just retire. his body has obviously betrayed him

I'm kinda adverse to Vitali getting a shot at the WBC title at this point and am very leary that he'll get injured again, again, and again while training for this title shot. And this would be the hw division's worst( but very possible) scenario; having fans waiting 6-10 months, at least, to see this fight.

I say **** Vitali; if he can't get his **** together for a simple tune-up fight, how the hell will he ever be ready for a title shot?...

Vitali-Peter is still a whole lot more interesting than Peter-voluntary.

Wow he is skipping the tune up and going straight for the title shot, I think he should get at least some sort of a tune up, ring rust affects even the best of fighters.

I agree with you on that. He is very injury prone and he needs to just hang up the gloves.
