And some thought Don King was bad, those people aint see nothing yet. How can you own a company and yet say it will be independent of it's owner?

The even sadder thing is that even when a Goldenboy fighter deserves to be on the cover or ranked # 1 people will say "he's #1 because he's a GB fighter". I use to look up to Don King but after this power move by Oscar I see Don King aint got **** on him

Damn, ya exagerating, the ring magazine doesn't make fighters, everything bans out in the ring, and who cares what the pvp ratings are in the magazine, that doesnt mean anything to me. GBP is helping out his prospect fighters, he'll sneak them in at # 9-10 rating, the get more notice, more money, and more fighters sign with GDP, brilliant move, I doubt he will mess with the top ranking, maybe there will be more pages and include some of his fighters, I think that's the reason behind all this, plus he knows if he messes with the real rankings, his reputation will take a hit, and he wont do that. plus i have never heard GDP being corrupted or cheating their fighters out of money like Don King.

A Magazine Champion? why stop with The Ring?

I've read like 3 issues of The Ring and its been a pretty good read .. good articles, not so much of a bias .. plus the divisional ratings & pound for pound are pretty sweet. (I prefer the top 10 in each division ... cuz those are usually good indicaters of who's the best in each division)

but just the idea of having a "Magazine Champion" always sounded funny to me (no other Magazine's have champions out there right?)

not saying its a good or bad thing .. but it is nice to have a champion out there, that is a champion, but not recognised by a sanctioning organization.

**and if the articles do show a GBP bias in them .. word will get out pretty quick .... and sales will probably suffer .. wouldn't you think?
