I agree completely. I don't think for a minute that Roy has fought a more perfect fight in his career. That was just brilliant. Forget the Vinni Paz fight.Comment

One of my favorites ever, peep the sig. Hopkins played the mind games so perfectly during that build-up, with the Puerto Rican flag ordeal, fighting in MSG, all the drama surrounding the fight, and Tito was unbeaten at that time.
Just perfect.Comment

Two immediately come to mind:
Roberto Duran v. Davey Moore
Muhammad Ali v. George Foreman
edit: and can't ever forget Holyfield taking down Tyson.Last edited by Wiley Hyena; 09-12-2007, 08:01 PM.Comment

What is the performance you think back on that made you say "WOW" about a guy? I mean a boxing performance where the guy fought a perfect fight or looked like he couldn't do anything wrong in the ring that night.
That fight probably made the experts or boxing public take notice.
Please exclude one-punch KO's.
Some recent examples:
Winky Wright shutting out Trinidad.
Joe Calzaghe dominating Lacy
Mayweather brutalizing Gatti
Mayweather embarrassing Corrales
Golota Bowe 1 (Golota)
Hagler mugabi(Hagler)
Jones Ruiz(Jones)
Tito Ried(Tito)
Nunn columbay (nunn)
Tate olijidae (Tate)
Holyfield Qawi(Holyfield)
And Many, many more. Flashes of brilliance!Comment

Golota Bowe 2 was pretty damn good too. He improved on the accuracy of his low blows... every single one seemed to cripple Bowe.Comment

Why does Floyd beating an old, slow, far past his prime Gatti considered as a great boxing performance? Oscar destroyed him years before. Gatti was completely shot when it came fighting elite competion. Honestly why is Floyds performance considered great when gatti has been in more than his fare share of wars, and is way past his prime? Do you consider Oscar destroying him years before a great performance? I'm guessing you are gonna have some reason to say no.Comment

This is a valid selection. I remember watching this fight and Barerra schooling Hamed. I loved when he slammed his head into the ring post. The reason this was so great was because no one had ever completely picked hamed apart the way Barerra did.Comment
