What about Reggie Strickland, you think he has any chance against him?

I'll agree that anyone who can take Wlad out of his 'comfort zone' has a chance, and I say that as one of Wlad's biggest fans on here. But just accept for now, McKay, that the rest of the world isn't sold oin Povetkin's ability to do that. he's solid, and he could make things interesting in the next several years. But as of now most people consider him to be around #10 in the current scheme.

If he beats Byrd AND Brock, then he's done something. But I give "The Boxing Banker" a shot at beating him.

kayjay when the chambers brock fight comes around I'm definetly messaging you about laying something down. another thing I wanna say bout Povetkin, man no boxer no matter what impact the song had on them, as a male boxer you should never come out to bonnie tyler's I Need A Hero. I don't care if it's the song your mother used to sing for you before you went to bed and now she's passed on or whatever reason, lesson today no boxer have I Need a Hero as intro song.

I don't know what you're basing this off. I watched every single one of his fights (maybe one was missing from the download, I can't remember) when the hype started and I just don't see it. He doesn't have this elite level pop that you talk about. He just doesn't. His power is fine, but its not special, and he is beyond flawed defensively. He also fights kind of stiff, and the win against Donald was NOT particularly impressive. Larry didn't give him a chance to look good really. He was obviously there for the pay day and didn't even really consider winning. Again, this wasn't Sasha's fault, but thats how it was. Plus, it was Larry Donald. He sucks. You've got to remember that while yes he did beat a horribly decrepit Holyfield and stuck with freak Valuev, the dude has also fought to draws with Ray Austin and Obed Sullivan, lost a decision to Kiik Johnson, and was dominated by Vitali. The only two reasons a win against Donald turns heads at all is because it was Povetkins's thirteenth pro fight and because the division is sad.
