I’m not sold on Povetkin just yet; granted he’s excelled as an amateur and so far as a pro, has done pretty good. However, his win against Donald was far from “destroying him” as Mckay has frequently stated, and was a sub-par win at best. I think judging from his performance against Bryd, we’ll be able to make a better assessment of this young exciting hw.

It was as good as 10 round non KO win as they come. He beat him up, won every round. Took very little few punches himself. No idea where you get word like 'sub par.' You probably didn't even watch the fight.

In my opinion he'll still get ko'd by wlad, peter and chagaev would proberly box his head off. Hell david haye could proberly ko him with his straight right hand which is lethal.
He is the future of the heavyweight division. The turban brigade is done for.

He fights more like a heavyweight Miguel Cotto. Is a better comparision.

It's not about favorite players mate..

Its about the probabilty of Koivu winning the scoring race..

Which is about the same as Povetkin beatin Wald Klitschko anytime soon..

              About none..

Klitschko is always going to suspect against guys that can ****. Povetkin can definitely ****. He's got that explosive type punching power Corrie Sanders did, solid technically. I think he gets inside his jab and knocks him out. Anybody that can take Klitschko out of his comfort zone has a chance to beat him, Povetkin definitely can, outside him I dont know.

I dont know a whole lot about Chagaev,

Ibragamov or anybody else I can think of no.

If you subscribe to the MYTH that Wlad has a fraigle chin.. Even then Povetkin is still a HYPE job.. who has fought NO one and looked just slightly above average in doing so..

maybe I am wrong.. But I have seen absolutely nothing in Povetkin to suggest he is the future..

In fact I will be quite surprised if he beats Byrd.. and the only way he will is IF Byrd looks his Age...
In other words Its Byrds fight to win or lose..

the guy still has time to change my mind.. But right now to me.. he is the Just the heavyweight version of John Duddy.. Alot of Hype.. for beating up some chumps..

If the hype machine was behind him more than 0% people would already be crying out for him to unify. Fact is, if you want to watch his fights your going to have to download a Russian broadcast after the fact or find a stream.

If he was an American medal winner with his potentional every single 1 of his fights up to now would have been televised and he'd be the next Tyson to the media.
