what a ****** question, mma guys get to go to the floor and simulate ****o, while boxers have to move and consistantly throw punches.
Is boxing more lazy compared to MMA??

MMA is alright, but the ground game gets boring, with them all laying all over each other, and taking the missionary position and everything...going doggie style and then back again. I don't know but it just isn't as visually appealing as boxing.Comment

Yeah, to the ****phobic eye (Pause).... MMA does look quite Richard Simmons. Fact is, I heard this old chinese tale, and it basically told me that boxing is better than MMA. No joke. lol.. It just sounds funny.Comment

No way are boxers more lazy than mma fighters. Look at any mma fight they throw 4 punches and go down cause there tired. Boxers are the better athletes in everyway and thats the reason boxing has been popular for 100's of years. mma fighters are poor mans boxers look at there skills they are second rate there are amature boxers at my gym who look beter than most mma fighters.Comment

While there are some MMA guys who do rest on the ground, I'll say that the most tiring thing in MMA is clinch work when you are looking for a takedown or avoiding a takedown. Not only do you have to move, you have to contend with all of your opponents weight on you.Comment

yep. it is not as tough on the cardio at all.
stamina is pretty important in both mma and boxing, all ground work is pretty tiring, but then again if you're throwing 100 punches a round, you need outstanding anaerobic recovery.Comment

I've heard this from people who are into mma, they say boxing is more lazy cuz you can get away with just front blocking, and parrying the punches the entire bout cuz of the big gloves. In mma though, you can't do that cuz of th small gloves they got, so all you can do is fight and take the punches without any real defense, so in other words they think mma fighters are greater warriors than boxers are. What do you guys think?? personally I think it's true, even though I'm a fan of both sports.
Anybody who thinks you need gloves to block a punch does NOT know anything about boxing.
What you see in the cage happens nearly every night outside, and sometimes inside, bars and nightclubs. It takes little training and few skills. Of course some people are better at it than others, but that is just the usual factors of talent and aptitude.Comment
