Can a bodyshot be effective in a street fight?

If its summer and the other guy is wearing a t-shirt....hell yea...

All you do is throw one just below the chest real hard, knock the wind out of the guy and its done...

Or bare fist to the kidneys from a hook...

Actually if you HAVE to fight on the street, punch to the body, no broken jaws/noses/knocked out teeth/cuts to deal with.

Alot of the times when you're fighting a guy on the street,there body isnt built like a boxer.So most likely a body shot could knock the wind out of them.

if you're fighting a skinny guy on the street, you could most definitely crack a rib if you have a powerful punch, unless they have a strong core. Same thing with a fat guy, u can hurt em, but they have fat to cushion the blow as well, which doesn't do a whole lot but still helps protect against a body shot. You wouldn't be able to hurt a bodybuilder in the body though.

Usually most street fighters go head hunting, unless you are fighting a pretty muscular person, one good body shot will call it a day, you can do what you want with them after that.

Also why would someone throw to the body when they could just throw hard straight punches and hurt the other guy or put them out. It's hard as **** to block a hard, straight punch bair knuckled......and the punch gets through.

I think a single shot on the upper chest or collar bones hurts 1000 times more than if I let my buddy tee off on my body when we're sparring with gloves.
