Could it be because they are told that they are the best and the uk fighters are not worth it. They stay over in the us and start believing their own hype. Then by and large when they do come over here they get a good hiding

As an American I can tell you this I hailed Calzaghe's gross beatdwon of Lacy who was hailed as nothing less than the second coming of Tyson for his division...

+1 calzaghe put on motherphuckin' clinic... i was watchin' that fight down here in Saint Pete (left hook's home town) at like a Hooters... and for 12 rounds, the looks on everyone's face were as if JFK just got assassinated again... he definately garnished some respect among the tampa bay area... 2 years later and i think jeffy's still in awe
