Most of those mention at least achived something...some even became champions, like Tyson and Judah. We may think they may have could have done more...

But,the poster boy for waste is Tony Ayala...in and out of the boxing ring.

I won't agree with Judah, b/c I don't see how he could have won any of the fights he lost except Baldomir. He ran into his limitations.

      Sanders, sure

      Tyson? This one is complicated

Oh yes....Tony Ayala. I remember back in the 80's seeing him mow down his opponents like they were weeds. Then he got his ass jailed. Can't recall if it was for **** or burglary.

Let's not forget another jailbird gone to waste - Ike Ibeabuchi.

Too bad he had mental issues that led to his jail time.

I don't think Tyson was wasted talented but unfortunately his antics had the tendency to down play his talent and I think some people have trouble looking past that. I know people who said Tyson was the downfall of boxing and he was the reason they stopped watching.

Hamed achieved a lot. Nowhere near as much as he said he would. But A LOT.

I agree with Laing!! This guy was an 11-year-old at 17 and beating 25-year-olds while drunk. He'd turn up at pro fights having not slept for days, getting into the ring still high on *******, have his hands by his waist and still win.

agreed, Zab Judah's talent is ****ing overrated....

even though i think Roy Jones achieved all he possibly could in the time and conditions he fought, i think he's wasted talent, IMO he is the most gifted fighter of all time, but his resume doesnt do him justice(mostly, to no fault of his own....)
