I never thought he was a bum. My opinion has always been that he's tough when he fights his fight, which is to throw straight punches up the pipe. When he deviates from that pattern, he gets caught with dumb punches.

His style will be a little tough early for Paulie, but I think that once fatigue becomes a factor Paulie's greater professionalism will take over and carry him to the decision.

Once again, thank you for your insightful postings such as this.

Let's forget that Clottey hurt his hand, which is evident because he stopped fighting after it happened, and call it good.

I guess I stated it wrong. People were saying, "Castillo must be shot, he went to the wire with this Ngoudjo guy." When I hear something like that, that makes me think that this guy really isn't any good.

Even though he went the distance with Ngoudjo, Castillo still had some professional guile and wit to get through in a fight he was clearly not physically qualified as his opponent in. Ngoudjo is a tough customer when he's in with a guy like Castillo who catches punches off the face. But when he was in with Augustus, who is more mobile, he had all kinds of troubles.

Malignaggi fits the second bill, which tells me that the matchmaker did his homework.

So what's Margarito doing? I thought he was going to re-match Cintron? Even if this DLH fight is going to happen - Oscar isn't fighting til May of next year, right?

Is he just going to stay home and cry over the Williams decision in the meantime?

This is disappointing - but props to Cintron and Clottey for being willing to fight each other...

If Cintron wins(big if) this fight can set up bigger matchups with other top Werlterwights!

Dustin the problem with Herman isn't his talent

its his lack of big fight experience.

like vs Castillo he was winning, but Jose Luis came on strong in the later rounds to take a split decision.

and of course Herman's latest fight was a life or death home town decision over Randall Bailey to become mandatory to Paulie.

I saw the Bailey vs Herman fight .. which was in Montreal, Herman's hometown .. no way he won that fight .. thats what we call a hometown decision.

but vs Paulie speed will kill, and I can see Malignaggi outboxing him to a relatively easy UD.

**good to see 2 title fights on the same card. the Clottey/Cintron fight should be a barn burner.

yea i though Bailey won that fight. But Ngoudjo is exciting and a fight with Malignaggi is gonna be entertaining at the least. Gotta go with Malignaggi by comfortable decision though
