I think he will. I think a lot of people have written Taylor off, but there is a reason that he is undefeated against great competition. He also has a small psychological advantage because he beat Pavlik in the Olympic trails in the amateurs. Not a huge factor, but it could be in Kelly's head at least a little bit.

you may be onto something there, because in his fight with miranda the commentator continued to say pavliks mental state isnt that good and he needs to be told he's good or he doubts himself and his skills. so maybe it could be played on his mind if taylor were to bring it up a few times in interviews.

on the contrary pavlik has serious career momentum going while taylor has been stuck in neutral for two years, not to mention taylor doesent follow diretcions
if anyone is fragile mentally it is taylor, he has never faced a puncher like pavlik and he will fold when the going gets tough
not only will pavlik knock taylor out but jermain will not even want a rematch at 168 following the loss

Stuck in neutral? Since 2005 he has beaten Edouard, Hopkins, Hopkins, Ouma, Spinks and got a draw with Wright. A who's who of that division. I'd hate to see what you would require to have someone's career be in momentum?
Pavlik, on the other hand, has wins against 2 people with names in the sport. Bronco McKart, a good fighter who has never been able to beat the best, and Edison Miranda, an upstart, good fighter, who's defense was seriously exposed against Pavlik.
I think that between the two fighters, the media thinks Pavlik's career is going better, but personally, Jermain has to believe that his career is going better than Kelly's.
I'm a fan of both but Taylor needs to step it up big for this fight in order to win because Pavlik hits hard and won't wait on Taylor and if Taylor backs himself against the corner or ropes it could be lights out.
