Mayweather & Hatton: Will 147 Be A Factor?

Hatton is not a smothering fighter.....hatton didnt put the fight into a phone booth against collazo and mayweather is a thousand times better than collazo....or u think mayweather is just gonna let hatton tee off on em...lmaooooooooooo.... hatton only has 2 wins against quality opponents in his 40 some odd fights... he's look good against nobodies his whole carrer...he just recently stepped up to a world class level...hatton has never faced an opponent like mayweather... stop telling me what hatton will do because mayweather is not going to allow him to do it...just like every other fighter he's fought before hatton...he dosent allow them to carry out their gameplan.... hatton brings nothing new to the table ... mayweather has seen it before ... hatton is slower ...less athletic...less of a defense and all that heart ....didnt gatti have alot of heart to....what happened to him....hatton has alot of heart and mayweather is gonna eat him up... hatton might as well come into the ring wrapped like a candy bar.... Mayweather is the better inside fighter by far.... just because u dont see mayweather on the inside dosent mean he cant box on the inside usually mayweather chooses to fight from the outside....because he can win and still look good for the club that night....and get it out of ur head that hatton is a smothering boxer....how many other boxers and brawlers have tried to smother mayweather....hatton is not goona do anything that mayweather has not seen before.....hatton is gonna get embarrassed in this fight...its not gonna be competitive like most people think it will be..... hatton will only win 3 rounds.......if the fight goes the distance........

Lmaoooooo...i dont hate hatton i think his camp put him into the position he is in and good for hatton...i do think he's fought enough to deserve a big pay day.... but i dont listen to the hype...i forget what hatton says and what mayweather says when u compare the 2 styles hatton has nothing on mayweather....hatton brings nothing revolutionary to the table ... i could see it if he was a devestating puncher or as fast or close enough to mayweathers speed...but hatton style wise against floyds style is severely outclessed...and i think hatton is a better fighter than gatti...i used the gatti comparison only for that heart factor which everyone talks about...gatti was a guy that could take punishment and never quit...mayweather made him quit on his stool.... now hatton is better than gatti...but the result will be the same an embarrassment... trust me when i tell u its all about mayweather ...its like hatton is not even there.... mayweather will dictate the pace of the fight ...hatton will not pressure mayweather out of his comfort zone.... this fight style wise is an easy assesment....dont believe the hype...........mayweather in easy decision if it goes the distance....and if it goes the distance will depend on whether or not mayweather sticks and moves or trades with hatton.............if he trades its a mayweather knockout...if he sticks and moves and easy desicion........

After watching the Collazo fight again - as well as rewatching 5-10 other relevant fights involving both Ricky Hatton and Floyd Mayweather in the last few nights - I'm even more confident Hatton can get this win over Mayweather.


It seems as though even if Luis Collazo is a "slick southpaw" he sure as **** didn't fight like one against Hatton. He was in there ****ing, windmilling combinations backing up - brawling.

Not to say that Collazo exposed any particular formula on Hatton (not nescessary). Or that this is the basis for any serious discussion - I'm just saying when we talk about this issue of 147 and all the concerns involved we're not talking about the type of fight that Floyd Mayweather is going to bring.

Floyd Mayweather is not capable of bringing that sort of fight.


Floyd will stick and move. We all know that. He's not going to rough up Hatton like Collazo did. Hatton is going to rough up Mayweather.

Floyd will not use the 147 advantage against Hatton (if there is one).

Effectively, 147 will not be a factor in this fight IMO.

The reason why 147 is a factor is that it reduces Hattons speed, not that it gives floyd a power advantage.

147 is the biggest factor besides height/reach.
