IMO, Taylor's (potential) undefeated run of:

    Hopkins+Hopkins+Winky+Ouma+Spinks+ Pavlik

is as good as any in boxing.

If someone says that Spinks is the weak link there, I encourage them to review Spinks' career.
Pac is one of my favourite fighters. But he has been feasting on shopworn morales and Barrera.

By contrast, Pavlik is a live, dangerous, hungry killer.
I really agree with what you've said and everything, and he definetly is a great fighter, but you've got guys beating the same caliber fighters but doing it IMPRESSIVELY you now?

like, Vazquez stopped Marquez, who was a top 5 p4p fighter. Pacquiao stopped Morales twice. Mayweather dominated DLH. you get what im saying.

So when youve got 10 guys doing that, its hard to fit a guy like Taylor in top 10. Obviously these are fictional rankings, and its all based on opinion, but thats my opinion.

A win over Pavlik certainly gets him in there

Undefeated with wins over Tszyu, Castillo and Mayweather - two weight world champion, i don't think you can compare that with Forrest's case.

To be honest if the Floyd fans on here wouldn't put hatton at #1 in this instance then I'd be pretty disappointed in them. it's all conjecture anyway, as Hatton most likely will catch an L

DWiens, you're a pretty good poster, what thinks you?
I think Pacquiao becomes #1 if he beats Barrera and Mayweather loses.
If both of them lose, it's a toss up between Barrera, Hatton and Marquez IMO.

Yeah but look at the quality of wins.

I thought the first Hopkins fight was REAL shady. I felt Winky did him in pretty good. Spinks worked him around pretty good.

I just dont feel right putting Taylor at #1. It honestly feels like a travesty if I were to ever do it.

Pavlik is certainly not better than Hopkins or Wright. I don't know why that would be true, especially if he squeeks this one out too.

Can't be as bad as not having him on the list at all. The judges saw him not losing any of those fights, none of them were robberies (one fighter didn't win 10 rounds and still lose). Taylor is pretty damn good, not #1, but for ****'s sake... #12?

Yeah I dont buy that. He's in my top 5 for sure. But I just dont feel comfortable putting him at #1. The same with Hatton. #2 at tops.

but pacquiao has already beaten barrera - i take it it's more that he takes the #1 spot by default if mayweather loses, and he only loses it if he gets beat by barrera?

I'm not hatton hugging - i hope he beats floyd then gets decked by Cotto, Mosley etc, but i'd give him #1 spot in the meantime.

Well what about Marquez? He hasn't lost in a long time... he drew with Pacquiao, but what is the overall feeling about that fight? Marquez won a lot more rounds than Pacquiao, he just ****ed himself over in that first round.

Marquez lost to Chris John didn't he????? He hasn't been exactly that great either...looking alot slower then usual. He's still got better offensive skills then Floyd Mayweather...even though his reflexes have declined.
