I would have to give it to Stammer.
Hatton would be undefeated with wins over the consensus #1 & #3 p4p fighters in the world as well as moving up in weight and winning a belt over a pretty good former LMW. There isn't really an argument against him being recognised as the best fighter on the planet in terms of accomplishments.

In most people's eyes Taylor has lost 2 of those fights and he's a huge MW who's struggled badly against smaller fighters moving up to him, which is the antithesis of what makes a p4p ranked fighter.

    You're reaching.

People think Hatton lost to Collazo too, what's your point? Both are undefeated, and Jermain has a ****ton of great names on his record. I perfonally don't understand at all why he isn't listed in the top 10 anymore, seems kind of absurd in my opinion to put either Hatton or Cotto above him, but that's just me.

EDIT: Anyways, wasn't Hopkins #2 in their first fight (with a rematch win over him as well), and Wright #2 when they fought? Seems like a damn good resume.

A few, not most people think Hatton lost to Collazo, and Hatton was moving up in weight at short notice against a much bigger fighter.

Winky, Spinks and Ouma are all naturally much smaller than Taylor and he clearly lost one of those fights and looked like **** in another. That's the opposite of what p4p is about.

Taylor looks good on Boxrec but not so good in the flesh. The Ring's dropped him because of the horrible & dubious nature of some of his wins/draws but a clear win over Pavlik should get him back in there.

You think Winky is the naturally smaller man huh? He drops down like 30 pounds to get to middleweight.

I personally don't know why everyone though he looked bad against Hopkins or Winky. I thought Hopkins looked bad in the first fight (except for the last 4 rounds, but you can't win a decision with 4 rounds of effort) and they both looked pretty good in the second fight. Jermain did what he should have when he was in the middle of the ring, and no one gives him credit for the power on his punches. Sure, Wright landed more punches, but how hard were they compared to Jermain, who puts a lot of power on every punch he throws, never an armpunch. I do agree that fighting a bunch of 154 pounders coming up is a coward's way out, but even so, Spinks is good (his style doesn't depend much on what weight he is at), and Winky had been there for a couple of fights before that.

I'm not saying Taylor is super good, I'm just saying that I don't understand why he is not even in the top 10 P4P, considering the 0 in his loss column and the names on his record.

**** yeah, Winky's the smaller man. Taylor's a natural SMW and Winky's a former WW.

I kind of agree that he shouldn't have been dropped from the Ring's top 10 altogether. He did at least beat Hopkins once and was competitve in the controversial fights. He's not a great fighter though, it's clear.

Well I guess the kicker is that none of his controversial fights have been robberies. He has been competitive, and it really could have just come down to having judges with the right judging philosophies saved him from getting a loss.

By the way, which Hopkins fight do you think he won?

I think he won the first one, and the second one probably should have been a draw, but I haven't watched them in quite a while, and I probably won't watch them again, they just don't get me excited.

EDIT: I think Wright started at 154... but he is big for that weight (and probably even big for 160) because he loses a lot for the fight, meaning he probably gains a lot back on fight night.

I thought he lost the 1st fight. He was working but not with much success in the 1st half of the fight when Hopkins was coasting. If you scored him more than 3 or 4 rounds then you were doing it on effort alone.
