Beckham is more popular. People may not give a **** about soccer here, but we all know who this guy is.

Mayweather is just going on a show that features D-list celebrities. It will certainly make him more well known because a lot of people watch it, but if he was on Beckham's level of popularity he wouldn't be wasting his time with this...

And as far as soccer being more popular than boxing, I highly doubt that. More people show up to WNBA games than go to soccer games...
