Why do so many people beleive Mosley will defeat Cotto?

Why? Maybe because Shane is the best overall fighter than Cotto has faced.

Cotto welcome to the ring with a real welterweight that will finish the show once you get rocked. Your power doesnt apply in welterweight so much. your not that much stronger then the elite fighters in this weight class and you for damn sure dont have the best chin in this west class. not even top 5 or 6 or 7. When you fight mosley you will see whats its like to be in the ring with someone quicker, smarter, and more skilled then you. someone that once you get caught(and history shows you do get caught quite often) he will finish the show. And all this when mosley is a little over the hill. Cotto is about to get EXPOSED!! its gonna be recardo torrez again but worse and different outcome for cotto. He's a great guy though hopefully he'll rebound and be a solid competitor in the future

People feel mosley will win,because cotto has been hurt in his last few fights.He also get hit alot ,but noone seems to jump on him after he's been hurt.Mosley must stay away from the body punches of Cotto early and box.Late round stoppage MOSLEY

I guess people are going by what they saw in the Judah fight. When Jab stung Cotto he didn't real try and finish him off. But, we've all seen Mosley finish a fighter with a strong flurry, whe he's had someone hurt.
Plus shane has a good chin, he's been in with Faster, bigger, stronger and harder punching guys.

Shane is faster, better handspeed, footwork, more experienced. Has fought the better competition. I think it'll make up for his age. Cotto's chin could still be questionable. I expect Shane by decision or if Cotto's chin doesn't hold up TKO.

In all due seriousness I can't figure out why so many people see Mosley defeating Cotto. First off Mosley doesnt have power at welterweight(and no Vargas doesn't count).
Second he can't adapt in a fight(as proven by his fights with Forrest and Winky) and Cotto can.
And finally he might have a tought chin but nobody has a tought body and Cotto will kill his body. So how can Mosley defeat a guy who has more power and skill than he has?

Cause he's huge, and pretty fast.

Cotto can beat him, but I'll mention this now, and never again..


Mosley was a name on the list of Balco investigations. Granted, After his name got called out after the Oscar fight, he slimmed down and looked fatigued early in both Winky fights the same way all X-Steroid users look after bein accused. I still dont trust his legitimacy in this fight. Who knows what kind of benefit of that bull**** still lays within him.

He's big and he's fast...We'll just have to see. And I'm not sayin it's Mosley's fault.

Cotto has a huge weakness that Judah further revealed. A less than solid chin.
He can get caught coming in with quick sharp straight punches. And the thing is, Mosley has the most powerful crisp sharp straight punch Cotto has ever faced. He's knees wobbled a more than once against an average puncher in Judah. Mosley will put him on his ass if is as open as he was against Zab. Zab coulda landed the straight left whenever he wanted too, he just didn't throw it enough. Mosley won't be as Inactive as Judah, and ( barring some low blowes) will knock him out!
