even thou im a cotto boxing fan for life is true that he's open to get hit something that i realize about cotto is that everytime he thinks his opponent is hurt ready to go he lowers more his guard well i don't know probably cotto is not only strong it may be really smart but if i were cotto i would not have that trust that in the later rounds he would see the difference he needs to be competitive fierce for 12 rounds.

Power is so damn overrated on here .
Cotto has adjusted to guys faster than him and than Mosley(Judah, Malinnagi) plus you are underrating Cotto's speed which might not be as fast as Mosley but fast enought to catch him, pummel him, and retire him.

Yes he could but Mosley doesn't fight in the same style as Zab and Paul do either .

Like I said it should be a hell of a hard fight for both i'm not counting out anyone but i'm a Mosley fan so I have to defend Shane here as it seems some are giving him little to no chance which I feel is very unfair to a fighter of his caliber.

Because Cotto gets hit a lot for someone whom we consider "elite", and Shane Mosley is a celebrated star in the sport and Cotto's toughest opponet to date. Shane's speed and boxing skill, coupled with solid power, combinations and counterpunching ability make many believe he will use his speed to avoid Cotto and his intelligence and experience to defeat him.

cotto will get countered...mostley might not have the power of cotto but mostley has speed with his punches.

Torres, Corley and Judah seemed to wobble his legs and Mosely has more power than those guys, more speed than anyone Cotto has ever faced. If you compare Cotto and SSM you have to say that SSM cleary has the edge in height, speed, reach and power. Vargas and Wright were much bigger guys and didnt have the power to stop Mosely, meaning that Cotto will probably have to win the decision. His speed and reach advantage means that Cotto will have to take shots in order to try and get inside, and over the rounds the effect of those shots will accumulate and i see Mosely stopping him late.

                  mosley is
                  1.faster
                  2.smarter
                  3.food on his feet
                  4.can box
                  5.he can brawl
                  6.he has a good chin
                  7.he is the experience guy

overall he is the better boxer, let's not count cotto out,
we will have to see how the body punches will affect mosley,
we saw how castillo lost in his last fight against hatton,

                  and i do think it's a very similar match-up mosley/cotto and pbf/hatton

pbf like mosley and hatton like cotto, if cotto wins we will know that hatton might be able to beat mayweather

I say the best way for cotto to win is to **** the body. He'll eventually wear mosely down and get him in the later rounds. As far as skill and handspeed goes Mosely has him in that category. Look at the judah fight. Times when judah actually used his handspeed and power he gave cotto problems. But given judah's lack of mental toughness he wasn't able to capitalize and he got his ass kicked. Thats not the case with Mosely. He's mentally tough as well as physically. I still don't think it would be an easy win though. Mosely will have to be smart and not allow hisself to be subjected to Cotto's vicious body attacks. Given Shane's age he might tire later on in the fight which will be bad because Cotto will not get tired. Cotto will see that and go in to finish him. We'll just have to see which fighter is gonna carry out their plan to win the fight.
