Hey, is it true that Erik will be in Manny's corner for this fight? If so do you think it's more because he' friends with Pacquiao, or his hatred for Barrera? Maybe a little of both? Any chance we could see the two rivals embrace in the ring after Marco retires?

do you think this could motivate barrera to win even more?? he wouldnt want to go out losing to pacman while his rival will be celebrating with pacquiao should he win?

and i cannot see barrera or morales ever embracing eachother, not in the distant future anyway. The funny thing is, after there first fight they embraced eachother and touched gloves in the 12th round, in there 2nd fight they touched gloves in the 12th round and embraced eachother after the fight (barrera went over to morales' corner and shook his hand and his dads hand and told him its over - the animosity), but in there 3rd fight, the ref had to force them to touch gloves and barrera went over to embrace morales but morales or his dad would have none of it...lol

i dont know, it would be ****ing great IMO...i think it has to do more with him being friends with Pac, but hell i dont think he would say no to a chance to see Marco unconscious in the floor, lol
if anything, they will want to start a fight the moment theyre in te same ring, lol

i hope some day Erik forgives him...

what barrera has to do is have controlled aggression, not make it into a brawl or a war, but to actually box, use his jab to keep pacman off balance, and when he has an opportunity, get close to pacman and hit him with body shots and tie pacquiao up after he has landed his shots, in a lot of barreras fights after the first morales fight, we have rarely seen barrera go to the body anymore, he relies alot on his jab now that he has transfomred himself to a boxer, i still believe this is barreras best punch, his left hook to the body and he can throw that punch when he is close to pacquiao, not far away.

barrera will have to invest on body shots in the fight early to slow pacquiao down the stretch and take away his legs and stamina in the later rounds, barreras jab can win him the fight, but i honestly think barreras body punches will do more damage to pacquiao and undo pacquiao on october 6th, i dont think barrera will KO pacquiao, i think barrera will win a 12 round decision.
its a great strategy, but this isnt the Barrera of old dude. He always falls into boxing, almost no matter who it is nowadays. Personally I dont think he has the explosive power he used to. The getting close idea would work perfect for the Barrera of the 1st Erik Morales fight, I think, and would have beat Pac that way. but Barrera is WAY too worn down at this point in his career, and even if he could take the early rounds, he would fade way too much down the stretch because of all the wars hes been in with all the early explosion.

Its much better to go the Marquez path imo. and i think its very likely it will happen as well. Barreras defence and countering ability is even better than Marquez's at this point (for the most part), and his best bet is to try and tire Pac out by making him miss and taking enough early and middle rounds to secure a win down the stretch.

I would buy the PPV if that were to happen. Even if Marco gets steamrolled, it'd be worth $50 to see those two make peace. Til then I'll be watching it on sopcast like everyone else, lol.

that was Hatton's strategy against Kostya Tszyu and it worked. pretty smart, they believe that Kostya's power on his money punch, the straight right is almost at the end of his punch (long range). but i'm not sure if Barrera can pull it off, but we will see on Oct.

                      GO PAC!!!...lol
