Well tell me exactly how mab's gonna box PAC? The answer is he can't, I think mab's best chances is if he tries to counter the hell out of PAC, as we've seen it all by now, PAC has all kinds of fits against counter-punchers. Thing w/ mab is he doesn't have enough on his jab to keep a relentless fighter like PAC. The NAZ and Juarez rematch were two totally different fighters compared to PAC.

juarez was a plodding cement footed fighter and NAZ was a one bomb at at time fighter. Totally different from PAC who is just all over the place and always busy.
That's all I needed to read there. Your hatred for Barrera is insane and you should seek help. I see your point though, it's impossible for a world class fighter like Barrera to come up with any kind of serious boxing strategy for the master of all combat, Pac.

I'll always love Pacquiao, but some of his fans make him look bad. Same with any nuthuggers I guess.

Sweet theory, but he has beaten more than just Juarez and Hamed. I think some scrub named Morales fought him a couple of times. Barrera is the best in boxing at one thing... strategy for rematches, I don't know who is going to win, my gut says Barrera, but I'm not an expert on the featherweight triangle, so I wouldn't be willing to bet anything on it. It really is going to be whether Barrera has come up with a great strategy that will neutralize the come forward right left style of Pacquiao. Since Pacquiao beat Barrera, both Morales and Marquez figured out how to neutralize it, why couldn't Barrera do the same? He has better stamina than Morales did when he fought Pacquiao (the two times he lost), and I doubt he goes down three times in the first round, so he won't have to climb a 4 round mountain to get back at even. If he can box Pacquiao like Marquez did and avoid getting knocked down, we could see Pacquiao lose.

Anyways, the other HBO interpretor is Jerry Ayala, and he has been switching off with Torres for a long time. I think Ray still works for HBO, thank god.

If the crying happened to Mayweather or Judah, I'd be grinning from ear to ear.

But not to MAB. He's one of the nicest guys in boxing.

Marco has the technique to outbox Pac easy, but i think he needs a 100% perfect fight to do so...and i dont think he has the characteristics to do it because the things you need to beat Pac are:

              1.- make him go backwards

Morales and Marquez did this to Pac however, i dont know if Marco can afford to fo this, e doesnt have the chin of Morales nor the elusiveness in counterpunching of Marquez, the only thing i can see Marco doing to make Pac go backwards is jab while circling to the left and then combinations to the body while pacs unbalanced...

              2.-Jab

MOrales was really the one to use the jab much more effectively vs Pacquiao, he basically countered pac with it while staying in front of him, and set up his right hand.
Marquez depended much more on his right, but after countering witha looping right, Marquez usually started his combinations jabbing.(Morales did too)

Marco certainly has a good long Jab, however, based on statistics, his jab isnt as good when he's trying to box as it appears, lets recall some boxing performances he's had.

vs Naz, Marco did well with the jab because that was exactly what won him te figt and remember the jab is the punch that takes advantage of bad balance more...
vs Morales 2, he circled, he threw a lot of jabs and he relatively made morales miss, however, he also lost 4 of the 5 rounds he tried to box, why? because he was overly cautious, was trying to reach with the jab and was hitting mostly air, he was outlanded and outworked in 4 of this 5 rounds...basically he was trying to see if morales would walk inside his combinations, he only did to look busy, not to really do damage.

vs Pac basically the fight was done before it started, he was getting caught before he even had time, lost his legs and tried to flurry with pac because thats the only thing he could do to prolong his loss....he did try to box at first though...and wasnt succesful...

vs Juarez 2. he circled he threw juarez off balance, he was busy, e threw a mounstrous amont of jabs, however like with morales the second figt he was hitting air, in fact even in this fight, juarez did land good punches the dfference was marco kept circling and thorwing, but if you see his connect percentage, he was punching air almost the whole time....in fact it was more juarez's anxiousness tat made marco look good, when juarez stepped in fast with counters, he managed to punch Marco while blocking, but when he knew he was beind a lot, e started to walk into Marcos combinations...and still marco missed a lot and didnt have power in is punches...basically marco was trying to do enough to get an easy decision...and i dont see the ,masterful performance, if you really put attention you can really see why 2 judges gave juarez 5 rounds...even though i had it wide for barrera i did feel he wasnt effective with what he was doing , he was just too fast for juarez...

vs Marquez, this was actually a combination between juarez and morales 2, but he was a little more precise because marquez was very aggressive, but Marquez was catching MAB wit the same counters Juarez did, but more cleanly and more often, had him hurt, landed the better shots and basically out hustled marco for at least 8 rounds...again, Barrera was very cautious even when he was beating marquez in the early rounds...

basically marco has used the jab to give himslef distance to circle and keep te opponent offbalance, however, he is very vulnerable if you get past his jab and marco has sacrificed te power and sharpness of his jab for speed not to mention marco tends to get overly cautious hoping what he does is enough to get him the rounds, but Pac is the bigger name now, i dont think the judges will let him win a close decision....

              3.-right hand

Morales beat pac with this punch, the best punch against southpaws, punched pac with it to the body, stayed right in front of him, and in top of him, but Morales is the only one who can afford that because of his freakishly strong chin...
Marquez ducked Pacs left and countered with overhand rights all night because Pac cant stop throwing his sunday punch...and marquez also punched him with straight right to the body to make him go backwards, however he only did so after landing a good counter that threw Pacman off balance...

Barrera has a good right hand but not as good as Morales nor uses it for counter punching as well as Marquez, MAB has always depended on his left...

              HOWEVER
, Barrera is a legend, he still has a chance... with the tools he has but it will be much more difficult, he cant afford to use the gameplan Morlaes used becuase basically thats suicide for anyone but Morales... and he is no Marquez as a counter puncher so he cant risk getting caught with a left...

              so what does he have???

fats hands and legs, adaptability, body punching, combinations.

his gamplan IMO should be similar to what he did to marquez but taking it to a whole new level...

Circle to the left while jabbing to throw pac off balance, when he sees an opportunity, go inside and flurry to the body, starting and finishing with a jab and try to step out of there...when he cant really risk it just jab and right hand to the body while pacs off balance, and clinch, that way even with soem scary moments he could win some rounds...and im sure he wiil try to do thid, the question is, does he have what it takes to do this for a whole fight???? and without getting caught by one of the fastest, most devastating punchers in the sport???, i think he could pull it off, but i think the most probable thing to happen is marc doing this for 3 rounds and making pac look bad, pacman starts walking him down because MAB's jab doesnt have enough power to hold him off and starts landing some scary punches, by the 6th he lands a good combination with a right hook and left hand because MAB is slowing down, and MAB cant box anymore, so he starts trading with Pac finally succumbing to the pressure, workrate and speed of Manny in 8 or 9 rounds...

But really, this version of PAC that mab will be seeing and feeling is a different animal than the one that devoured him in San Antone.

The PAC now has settled at 130lbs. PAC's punches aren't just lighting quick that zaps his opponents, it's swift and has a thudding sound at impact.

this PAC has added a terrific right hook to complement his World-Famous left bomb and given the footspeed that PAC will bring, all that movement that MAB showed Juarez ain't gonna work!! If anything it will be PAC's quick feet and punches coming out of nowhere that will leave MAB dazed and confused which will eventually lead to mab picking up his own teeth after he is given a sniff of the smelling salt(lol)
MARCO IS GONNA WIN BECAUSE OF PPL LIKE YOU WHO DOUGHT SO BAD.......NOT A CHANCE IN HELL ..........GUESS WHAT WE ARE NOT IN HELL THIS IS EARTH.................YOU WILL FIND THAT OUT WHEN MARCO COMES OUT ON TOP..........IM NOT A BARRERA FAN BY THE WAY.....

There's nothing wrong with loving your native son, but most of those fans don't show anybody else any respect. They disrespected the hell out of Erik Morales during their trilogy, and go out of their way now to disrespect Marquez. They lift Pacquiao to a godlike status, while disrespecting anybody who has the balls to fight him. I guess I'm cut from a different cloth, I respect everybody who has what it takes to get in that ring and fight for my entertainment.

people might think im crazy, but i honestly think the best way for barrera to beat pacman is to actually stay close to him!!!! hear me out here, barrera will not want to be at arms length to pacquiao, as he will be feeling pacquiaos power alot more if he stays on the outside, if barrera is close to pacman, pacquiao cannot get full leverage and strenght into his punches when he is close.

what barrera has to do is have controlled aggression, not make it into a brawl or a war, but to actually box, use his jab to keep pacman off balance, and when he has an opportunity, get close to pacman and hit him with body shots and tie pacquiao up after he has landed his shots, in a lot of barreras fights after the first morales fight, we have rarely seen barrera go to the body anymore, he relies alot on his jab now that he has transfomred himself to a boxer, i still believe this is barreras best punch, his left hook to the body and he can throw that punch when he is close to pacquiao, not far away.

barrera will have to invest on body shots in the fight early to slow pacquiao down the stretch and take away his legs and stamina in the later rounds, barreras jab can win him the fight, but i honestly think barreras body punches will do more damage to pacquiao and undo pacquiao on october 6th, i dont think barrera will KO pacquiao, i think barrera will win a 12 round decision.
