  • I just rewatched Pacquiao-Barrera I

And I realized that I love to hate 2 things...

    1. Whenever someone lands a bomb on Pacquiao, he throws his arms up in the air... it just annoys the hell out of me, but it always makes me laugh too.

    2. How Ray Torres (the Spanish interpretor) always gets so excited whenever he says, "Go to the BODY!" or "Not one punch at a time, COMBINATIONS!" He makes it sound like every single between-rounds advice session for Mexican fighters consists of throwing combinations to the body.

    Anyways, that's my rant.

Funny ****. Torres typically spouts the same recycled **** for every corner interpretation he does. I'm beginning to think he doesn't know that much Spanish, lol.

There's also been a few instances where what he translated turned out not to be true after the fight. Was it he was translating Ricardo Mayorga against Forrest (if I remember correctly), and he goes "that black guy...he hits hard!". Afterwards Merchant asked Mayorga about that and he looked at Larry and Torres like they were both on drugs.

I just rewatched it too. And nope, there's not a hell in chance that MAB is gonna win in 10/07. I mean, one can always land a perfectly placed punch and it's lights out. But really, this version of PAC that mab will be seeing and feeling is a different animal than the one that devoured him in San Antone.

The PAC now has settled at 130lbs. PAC's punches aren't just lighting quick that zaps his opponents, it's swift and has a thudding sound at impact.

this PAC has added a terrific right hook to complement his World-Famous left bomb and given the footspeed that PAC will bring, all that movement that MAB showed Juarez ain't gonna work!! If anything it will be PAC's quick feet and punches coming out of nowhere that will leave MAB dazed and confused which will eventually lead to mab picking up his own teeth after he is given a sniff of the smelling salt(lol)

Okay dude, we get it. You love Pacquiao, and Barrera will be picking up his teeth in October. Awesome technical insight.

That was one of the funniest things I have ever heard in a corner...

Barrera looked like **** in the first fight with Pacquiao by the way... he came back and looked like a badass against both Morales in their third fight and Marquez.

the interputer accents is kinda of weird it doesnt have like the latino accent even in chinise and japanese movie there is no sign like an accent or something.

i think they changed Torres with someone else because there was a different guy for the MAB-JMM fight

I'll be the first to admit, Marco looked horrible against Pac the first time. I won't make any excuses, and I didn't support Marco's either. He simply lost to the better man that night, period.

And where's your insight? All I ever hear from ya regarding this forthcomng repeat of an @ss whuppin' is that mab's gonna box PAC, mab's gonna box PAC .

Well tell me exactly how mab's gonna box PAC? The answer is he can't, I think mab's best chances is if he tries to counter the hell out of PAC, as we've seen it all by now, PAC has all kinds of fits against counter-punchers. Thing w/ mab is he doesn't have enough on his jab to keep a relentless fighter like PAC. The NAZ and Juarez rematch were two totally different fighters compared to PAC.

juarez was a plodding cement footed fighter and NAZ was a one bomb at at time fighter. Totally different from PAC who is just all over the place and always busy.
