Why is the promoter giving one fighter advice on how to keep his mental game together and how not to be intimidated??

Oscar wants Floyd to lose so bad.

Oscar says that Floyd is a great trash talker. Since Oscar has had just a few more megafights than you have, and since Oscar has been in just a few more press conferences than you have, I will accept his opinion over yours.

      No offense.

Ridiculous comment. Because I've not fought and been to press conferences that means that I dont have any knowledge of the English language and how it is applied?

Floyd is a crap trash-talker. He is not an especially good talker at all from what I've seen of his interviews. Doesnt mean that he isnt effective. Your mother may not be a whore and you may not be bothered whatsoever by me calling your mother a whore, but if I keep saying it for long enough, it'll get annoying eventually.

No. What I am telling you is that the trash-talk is intended to affect THE OPPONENT, not YOU. How can YOU adequately judge? The only thing ridiculous is that you feel qualified to speak to Oscar's emotions.

Oscar said after the weigh-in that he felt 'put off' and uncomfortable at the first press conference. Floyd pulled off his shirt and was ripped. Oscar tried to retaliate by lifting his shirt out of his suit, and he wasn't in top shape, and he sat for the rest of the press conference looking unkempt.

That is not who Oscar is. He got thrown off his game. ODLH came to present a businesslike image, and he got drawn into Floyd's antics.

You sitting at home on your sofa and watching it on replay will have a different perspective than the opponent who is on the stage right next to the guy. You have the benefit of being segregated from the intensity.

Is that confusing to you?? Interesting how you had to go to the "mother/whore" example. Real mature there, Sparky.

Saying that FMJ is a "crappy" trash-talker because he isn't particularly articulate or smooth is equivalent to people saying that Hatton is a crappy fighter because he isn't fluid or pretty to watch. The question is : do their tactics work?

Hatton seems to be a quick-witted and relaxed guy. But as Oscar said during 24/7, you don't know how someone will react to a mega-fight.

Hatton hasn't had a fight of this magnitude against an opponent of this capability and standing...that he has doubts that he can beat.

So, it will be interesting to see if he is rattled. Will Ricky hold his mud?

Mayweather gets under his opponents skin with his smack talk, therefore it is usually effective, it's just not that original.

You said that he was "crappy" at it. And you said he was effective.

You are drawing a line between "aesthetics" and "effectiveness" where there CAN'T be one.

Hatton did not fight a "pretty" fight vs. Tszyu. It was ugly and dirty. And repetitive. But it was effective. Did Hatton fight a crappy fight?

                      Feel me?
