Cause boxing leaves you satisfied. If your trying to say MMA fans have more class ur an idiot. MMA fans started this whole war, they are equally as illogical

You all on this site tend to hate MMA, but yet watch every event and then make a thread on it. I thought last night's card was AMAZING. Roger Huerta's performance was my favorite of the night. The way he handled a world class BJJ blackbelt was INSANE. He really evolved into an all around athelete. Boxing fans don't see this though. They want MMA fans to admire the "sweet science" but these same boxing fans don't take time to learn and understand what MMA is all about. Every position you're in is tough.

I'm sick of all these MMA hate threads. No boxing fan has ANY logic in their hate. It's the same "MMA is boring while boxing isn't."

I've seen plenty of boring boxing matches and I've seen a few boring MMA fights. It's all in your taste. I can respect if you think MMA is boring, but I don't respect any of you boxing fans here for the simple fact that you watch UFC events with pure BIAS. The second it hits the ground you make a thread saying "omg it's boring. jabbing and running owns. it's such a science."

In all honestly, I can say jabbing and moving is ridiculous and boring. That's my opinion. I understand that it's difficult to box and land punches but jabbing and moving is incredily boring. Do I make threads saying "Man, boxing is so boring." No, because it's redundant and all ppl will say is "you don't know anything about the sweet science."

    Hypocracy on this site.
I definetly am biased and im sorry, but i dont WATCH with bias. i just dont see the hype, at least not yet. Ive given the sport a chance and im still giving it a few more chances.

I saw the Huerta fight and i saw a very boring fight. Maybe he did use tremendous technique and what not, but what i saw was two guys lying on the ground, make a move once every 2 minutes, but rolling around on the ground most of the fight.

But dont say i watch these things with Bias. I WANT to give the sport a chance, but what i see i cant like. Its untalented, and its not exciting. why is it getting all this attention?

As somebody who actively participates in both sports, I can tell you from first hand experience, it is much much easier to become proficient at the ground game than the stand up game.

Why do you think so many MMA fighters have awful stand up skills? Its really quite simple. Becoming good at stand up is much much harder, than becoming good at the ground game.

As a matter of fact, most of the MMA guys have very very sloppy ground game technique by BJJ standards.

Ground game is about learning the positions, not much more. Obviously there is some skill involved, but it is mostly about knowledge of the moves.

Boxing, on the other hand, is all about skill. You can know ever single move in the world, but that is no guarantee that you will be able to execute any of them to any degree of effectiveness.

Boxing is much more fluid and dynamic, there are much more possible avenues to persue than one is led to believe.

Also with that said, BJJ is lots of fun to do, but watching it is pretty boring in my book.

Ive said this a million times, but I guess Ill say it once more...

MMA may have a ton of different styles rolled into one, but theres so much going on, that you never get to see two guys go into the fine arts area of fighting. You will never get to see two wrestlers just wrestling, you will never get to see the best strikers striking, you will never see the best two submission fighters trying to submit each other.
Most of the time youll get two grapplers boxing, which looks like complete ****(ie Pe De Pano vs. Monson).

In other words, you never get to see two fighters at their FULL talent level. Exciting fights are exciting fights, and mma has those no doubt, but they dont happen much honestly. MMA fights I enjoy is where theres lots of action and they switch positions around a lot, ie Hansen vs. Azeredo and Noguiera vs. Shogun. but I prefer to watch fighters where they are BEST, boxers in boxing, wrestlers in wrestling, bjj practitioners in bjj.

otherwise, most of the time the fights just look like mismatches after a fighter gets the fight to the area of their expertise, while the fighter at disadvantage often stalls or runs. but hey, each to their own, people can like whatever they want.

Not true. We don't make threads hating on boxing after:

            Taylor-Spinks
            Mayweather-DLH
            Andre Dirrell vs. Curtis Stevens
            Klitchko - brewster
Your every week boring prospect espn fight

Hell, there's even boxing fans making a thread for boring boxing fights so maybe NSB is just the idiotville to begin with.

That is the ******est statement ever and I honestly don't believe you partcipate in both. I'm sure you're just saying this so you can seem like you know what you're talking about.

I'll say it once and I'll it a thousand times...none of you have ANY points whatsoever. It's the same **** over and over...

i like certain UFC fights but Joe Rogan is a clown, every single fight he calls the fighters great or the best on the ground game, he needs to make up his mind on whose really the best

Joe Rogan is a comedian. No I'm serious, he is a comedian by trade.

Why they have him calling fights is befuddling.

LOL!!! You call US biased but look at this. BOTH statements were completely 100%, and u immediatly denied both of them.

I used to box all the time, and what he said is 100%. I thought i knew everything shadow boxing in my room, but when i got into the ring i was as amatuerish as can be.

Ive never done any MMA or anything though.

And you dont see MMA fans haitng on boxing Because THIS IS A BOXING FORUM. People here love boxing, they might love MMA to, but they all love boxing
