In the 10 point must system.. 12 round figths are open to draws.. 15 rounds might be too long.. But a 13th round would rid us of draws..

yeah man, in those days the "winner" got payed more, didn't matter who was more popular. The one who showed more guts and heart and was still standing....that was the "CHAMPION".

Some fights need the few extra rounds to determine the clear winner, for example Williams vs. Margarito, Mayorga vs. Spinks . Juarez vs. Barrera etc... One thing ive always thought about was, why are there an even number of rounds? there should at least be a odd number of rounds.

For the most elite fighters. Yes, definitely. Promoters like having as many of their fighters as possible in notoriety, they dont want just one guy that everybody follows, as least some promoters. probably one of the reasons they have it 12 rounds now.

I dont know that since going to 12 rounds serious injuries in the ring have declined at all. And like I've said many times no matter how many rounds bouts are people are going to get injured in boxing. People get serious injuries in boxing just sparring the gym somtimes wearing headgear and everything. Some are just pre-disposed and/or hit the wrong way.

Yes is winning, 21 to 15. If not going back to 15th round fights, Welter had an awesome suggestion in making a 13th round. Making a draw nearly impossible unless in a scenario of both fighters being knocked down, or points being taken away from both fighters.
