Did Margarito "Deserve" a Fight With Mayweather in 2006?

Floyd can't fight 5 people at once... meaning that Baldomir had just as much of a right to fight Mayweather as Margarito... probably moreso because he was the C in the division, and not merely in the top 5.

He's a better fighter... but accomplishment wise, they were pretty even.

Margarito lost to Daniel Santos on a technical decision (which is a really ****ty way to lose).

Baldomir was getting beat by Joshua Clottey (but Clottey got DQ'd for repeatedly leading with his head).

To be honest, the Ring Belt and $2 million extra does talk. Why go for Margarito for less money and not even get The Ring belt?

I still think that Margarito deserves a shot at Floyd. For me, his loss to WIlliams doesn't change things that much. It was a very close fight, and I would pick Williams against just about any welterweight right now. Including Floyd believe it or not.

this is how i feel ........williams is to big for alot of fighters.........he needs to go to 154......i think he will end up like tony................avoieded...........fighters avoid good fighters when they see one......floyd would never fight him
