    What's the problem with American's

What is the problem with Americans? Why don't they rate our fighter's. They tend to only recognize their own fighter's and disregard everyone else's. Why do they think the whole world revolves around them. In most cases their fighters are rated at the top of each division, and are always top of the pound for pound lists. They do however seem to recognize mexicans, is that because they border mexico. I'm not saying that our fighter's are the best or anyone else's, and quite often they do have the best boxers, but it just seems to me that they are reluctant, to rate our fighters. Like Dynamite_kid said on a previous post if Lennox Lewis was american he would have gone down as one of the all-time greats. Does anyone agree with me, also can anyone think of any other instances, where they were reluctant to rate a superior fighter from either britain or anywhere else, above one of there fighters.

Quality of opposition multiplied by exposure is how fighters are rated.

Face it England just doesn't have as many good fighters as the rest of the world.

In the US there is very little coverage of boxers outside of the US and Mexico. Mexicans get huge coverage because there is a large demographic that is interested in Mexican fighters. And homegrown fighters also get coverage. So when a big name from the UK or elsewhere shows up they make the automatic assumption that they can't be any good otherwise they would have heard of him.

I believe UK fighters and fighters of the world get rated P4P how about Hamed (back in the day) fighting out of the UK or Hitman Hatton and Joe Cal or Pacman from the Phillipines. All these guys are rated P4P...don't know what else your asking for. As far as Lennox...he was a good champion in a time where there was subpar heavyweights...another guy that comes to mind that suffered the same problem is Rocky Marciano who even though he went undefeated after 53 fights he is not known as one of the greatest heavyweights of all times because of lack of opposition. Sometimes it is not the fighters fault just bad timing.

              Lennox Lewis was Canadian.

But I know what you mean. If I'd been American I would have surely got the title shot that I deserve.

Yes. That's exactly what I needed. A weak graphic posted by a teenager. Well done.

I would definitely have had a shot at the title if I was American.
