    Who are you "speacking" of?

Who are you saying has no boxing knowledge... call him out. And why.

It's obvious that I speak about you Dios and here's why:

You claim you aren't hating on him, and then turn around and indirectly say that he sucks, a tomato can and all hype.
Everyone admits that Gatti was never an elite fighter. Everyone admits that he was one of, if not THE, most entertaining fighter in the game. Everyone admits that he did show heart and courage by winning fights that he was clearly losing, and fighting till the end in fights that he lost. Fighting on HBO ccertainly helped his exposure, though he would still have attained the same level of popularity had he not fought on HBO; as boxing fans can tell you, word travels far and fast on an exciting fight, no matter where in the world it may be. He had enough of those to have built his reputation as an exciting fighter on.
Don't get me wrong...I liked Gatti's fights, was a fan, but not a die hard, spit on your neck fan. I was a fan of the fights that made him famous and his heart and courage.

Everyone admits these things except you. And then you ******ly play the race card. At first, I gave you the benefit of the doubt when you said that it wasnt your intention to sound like racist. But you continued on the same path. Now everyone on the forums is going to look forward to your post to laugh at your theories and will always be known as the bigoted kid who doesnt know boxing from his left shoe.

You say all that and you STILL haven't pointed out a SINGLE boxing opinion or perspective that was mis-stated.

And you are putting words in my mouth thjat I NEVER said. I never said (not even indirectly) that he was a tomato can, etc. I stated FACTS about Arturo Gatti's career. Now, if those facts wound you deeply, then get yourself a Kleenex, and have a good cry. And that goes for anyone else who you THINK that you are speaking for.

I said that Gatti had exciting fights. I also said that those fights were a long time ago. I asked "when was the last time....". The problem with guys like yourself who lack a quality education is that you can't separate emotion from fact. That is something that you were supposed to get in college. Critical Thinking. You missed that at that third-rate school (and you know it!).

You missed the point (no surprise there) that "Gatti WAS". But "was" shouldn't be getting you endless HBO dates. Not when there are guys I would RATHER be seeing in good matchups.

You apparently don't understand how the business end of the sport works (again, no surprise). Yet, you posit yourself as such. There is a FINITE amount of money that the networks will spend to subsidize the sport. A Gatti/Gomez date means that there is something ELSE that you are not seeing.

So, you can "look forward" to my posts , or you can ignore them. Doing the former and incessantly responding says alot about YOU, Champ.

Gatti is definitely a showstopper, win or lose. He just goes all out. It's about marketability.

The same thing will happen to other fighting sports: entertainment > technical abilities.

But the problem, Snoop, is that you have to draw the line somewhere. You have to ask if you are looking too much at the past and not enough at the future.

Gatti's future is on the golf course since he retired.

lol...downgraded to childish insults now, eh?

Let me break it down for you, piece by piece:

No, the facts that you claim that you STATE don't wound me. Therefore, no need to get a kleenex to wipe any tears, unless its to lend you some to wipe the BS from your lips for the crap you spew. As I and many, many others have stated...we all KNOW that Gatti wasn't one of the greatest fighters of all time. We know he was a C+ fighter. We know he couldnt hang with the best in the division...most of the guys you stated. So why start a thread if you are repeating 'facts'? Is your boxing knowledge limited to insulting guys who do more than you would? And if you dont want people to disagree with you, then why start a thread (if you want everyone else who disagrees with you that you 'think I'm speaking for'.)

Now please don't insult my alma mater. I paid alot of money to go to Baker Avaition school and get my commercial pilots license to have to sit here and have some little kid who thinks putting girls he's never met before on his screen is the manly thing to do. Emotion has nothing to do with this...as I've stated many times before, Gatti is NOT my favorite fighter. I like the guy, he was great, exciting to watch. But not my favorite. So there's no emotion there. However, I admit that my emotions do stir up when new idiots bounce onto the forums and post comments that expose them for the casual street fan that they are. Yes, Gatti's best days are behind him. And if he gets a few HBO dates because of his past, then so be it. Many would agree that he deserves it. And I'm sure your ass tuned in to watch him get beat. And I wonder...what other fight on that day would you have rather seen that was upended by one of Gatti's last fights? Was it the great matchup of Funeka vs Masango? Or was it Krasniqi-Thompson? I'm sure it wasnt Jones-Hanshaw...all you had to do is shell out a few bucks for THAT PPV. Or do you not make enough money?

'When was the last time?' is what you keep saying. Once again, touting your ever expansive boxing knowledge and teaching us young underlings, you state the obviousl facts. We all KNOW it's been awhile since he had a great show stopping fight. It's not a news bulletin.
And actually, I think it is YOU who does not know the business end of sports. Because HBO does know that Gatti-Gomez would have brought them much more money that most any matchup out there. There's a difference between knowing what the public wants and what TRUE fight fans want to see. I'm sure that most true fans tuned in to see the Marquez-Vasquez fights, but it probably wouldnt have been Showtimes biggest money maker. I'm sure they made much more showing Tyson ko a nobody in 48 seconds.

And for the record, I dont look for your posts. In fact, as far as I know, this is the first thread you started that I may have responded to you directly. It's others on here who have seemed to know what I found out during this waste of time: You know boxing about as much as you know the girls you put in your avatars...it's all fantasy. I'm not gonna ignore your posts, dont worry about the lack of attention. I'm sure you'll do enough for the mods to eventually ban you from the site and save us all the time.

OK, but don't pick on Gatti who has retired. Pick on Roy Jones, Tito Trinidad, Evander Holyfield (there are a dozen young Euros who actually deserve the shot he's getting), James Toney, and Antonio Tarver.

Those are the guys who should step out the ****ing way.

This is the first logical thing you've ever posted. I agree...
