Marsh: "Hatton Lacks The Talent To Beat Floyd"

Terry Marsh (26-0-1, 10KOs), a UK fan favorite and former IBF junior welterweight champion who retired undefeated in Dec. 1987, recently appeared on BBC Sport Radio and said that Manchester fighter Ricky Hatton (43-0, 31KOs) does not have the talent to beat a fighter on the level of a Floyd Mayweather, Jr (38-0, 24KOs). He should've aimed better is what he should've done. Frank Warren is the reason Ricky was not exposed earlier in his career, I mean, the reason why Ricky only fought stiffs and has-beens until now.

To die hard Hatton fans it doesn't matter what he said. HATE for PBF is all that matters not the truth.

I'm completely disinterested. Every 'expert' either thinks that Floyd has too much skill for Ricky, or that Ricky could just have the game to trouble Floyd. We dont need to repeatedly discuss this matter over and over again in numerous threads.

Alternatively...suck my ****. I'm not going to do your homework for you, plenty have said it. I think it was Larry Merchant who said it on TV. It was something along the lines of "Of all the fighters out there, Hatton is the one who has the type of physical game that could trouble Mayweather".

If you think that the statement 'Ricky might just have the game to trouble Floyd'...not to destroy Floyd, not even necessarily to even defeat him just that he MIGHT have the game to TROUBLE Floyd is an overstatement, then you are an idiot.

BS Hatton really doesn't offer anything to stop Mayweather. Mostly all of Floyd's opponents have pressured and come forward to him the whole fight. Baldomir stalked him the whole fight. And is much bigger and stronger than Hatton. Although Hatton has speed it's still a noticeable difference between his speed and Mayweather's speed.

Here's a Mayweather video of him KO'ing Manfredy. Just fast forward to 6 minutes. Mayweather will go after Hatton if he cathces him like Collazo did.

                    Roy Jones Jr.

Lampley: Roy, who do you see as having a good chance at beating Mayweather?

Roy: There's a guy by the name of Ricky Hatton that fights every minute of every round.
