Well, shutting up & talking politely didnt help de la hoya's other big name opponents break the all time record..so someone's rationale isnt adding up to the numbers. Next, again..how would you know his financial situation unless you personally know him?? What makes you think he doesn't have trust funds for his kids?? The answer is you dont know dude. This man has made millions & millions of dollars and has probably made hundreds of thousands betting in the vegas casinos. The viewers see him throwing 20..30 thousand around and automatically think he mismanages his funds (you're probably watching him toss around the money he just made betting on a football game). Look, his personal advisors are Al Haymon & Leonard Ellerbe (he himself is a self made millionare). Trust & believe you wont see FMJ penniless & scufflin' like tyson. As I said before, dont let that bs act he puts on in front of the cameras get you twisted and thinking he's some ignorant lil street hooligan.
Lastly, your comment about those who like his attitude but cant afford PPV is both ridiculous and unbelieveably ignorant. For argument sakes, let's say floyd's persona appeals to young & middle aged black folks (or the urban market if you will). You must not know how much money is circulating in the urban areas throughout this country (whether legal or illegal). Ive seen regular 'hood cats' make it rain & toss thousands of dollars around at strip clubs & such, drive expensive cars, and go on lavish shopping sprees (men & women). Therefore, why wouldnt those same people be able to afford a damn $50 ppv?? I'd rather see those same urbanites investing in their own communities and being more self reliant in order to become a true economic force in this country as opposed to making other folks rich..but hey, it is what it is. Peace
