This is absolutely irrelevant. It's also the exact same thing he said on camera. He shows the public what he wants them to see about himself. If he wants people to think that he is a poor-spoken, self-absorbed, trash-talking, cowardly jerk, then he has succeeded with flying colors. I highly doubt that he is a complete 180 to this personna when the "cameras are off." It would take a jerk to want to display such a character, and I really have trouble thinking that he's any kind of actor. He's also not the brightest gem in the case.

Most people have made the correct assertion. He's great in the ring (though no longer exciting), but he's a tool outside of it.

By giving the fighter props first and say that you confident that you can beat them is a good example. Your always supposed to be confident when coming into a fight. The situation with Mayweather is not disrespect because Mayweather is disrepectful hisself. He was just giving him a dose of his own medicine.

Floyd and Oscar are entertainers. The same way that I don't presume to know much about Oscar, I can't say that I know much about Floyd.

During the press tour for their fight, DLH would leave right after a press conference without acknowledging the fans. Mayweather stayed and signed autographs and took pictures. That showed a lot about each man's character.

The **** we see on TV is all an act. Not just by Mayweather, but most boxers...

I dont think Floyd is a huge prick outside the ring. He always seems happy to talk and meet with the fans and I remember in the run-up to the DLH fight he was tipping the drivers a lot of dough whereas DLH was giving them like a dollar.

However Hatton is a likeable guy so Floyd is gonna look bad when trash talking him.

Giving a fighter props is not trash talking what the **** are you talking about? Giving a fighter props is just being respectful of that fighter. Trash talking is telling your opponent that you going to be whooping his ass all night. Trash talking isn't saying I have the style to beat your style.

In sports, the absolute smart thing to do is to give your gameplan to the fans, media and the other fighter and his camp.

Preferably, you should give them the gameplan months in advance so they have ample time to prepare for that.

There should never be deception, secrets or trickery in professional sports.
