Former four division champion Roy Jones, Jr. (51-4, 38KOs) says his January bout with former three division champ Felix "Tito" Trinidad (42-2, 35KOs) will be an action-packed fight, unlike Oscar De La Hoya vs. Floyd Mayweather, Jr. and last month's pay-per-view featuring Bernard Hopkins vs. Winky Wright. RJ has been making me mad about this fight. He's talking all this **** when he's fighting a guy who's basically been retired forever, has got his ass kicked in 2 of his last 3 fights, never looked good past 154, and who he's 10x bigger then. Then after RJ wins he will be talking mad **** like he did something. Fight someone your own size. He should be fighting Hopkins, Calzaghe, Dawson, or trying to get a rematch with Tarver since he feels that he's so back. Atleast rematch Glen Johnson like you said. Dont fight a guy like Tito and then talk **** like everyone is going to give you so much credit if you winComment

Remember though, Roy himself is 39 and past his best aswell. So its not like its a prime Roy picking on a past his prime Tito.RJ has been making me mad about this fight. Yeah, but Roy has been in the gym the last few years. He hasn't been sitting on his ass putting on 50+ pounds like Trinidad did...
Can you really give Jones any credit for beating a fighter way above his best weight, has been retired twice meaning his heart isn't really in boxing anymore, has had 2 fights in the last 5 years, did not win a single round in his last fight which was 10 pounds below where this fight will be, and will have to spend a lot of his time in camp just cutting weight...
This fight is a complete joke. Forget comparing to Mayweather-DLH. At least that was viewed as a cometitive fight...

If Winky-Hopkins did 305k with the absolute minimal HBO hype, I have to think HBO will start ****ing the drums for this in November and with Tito and RJJ's fanbase we could see this fight get to 500k, not bad for a "joke of a fight," as many are calling it.
Tito-Winky did 500k, so that may even be underestimating, but you have to take into account Tito's layoff and both fighters' tremendous drop in stature.
Also, how many PPV dollars will be spent on November 10 and December 8 factors in...Comment

Winky Wright was a terrible style match up for Tito though. Roy doesn't fight like Trinidad.Yeah, but Roy has been in the gym the last few years. He hasn't been sitting on his ass putting on 50+ pounds like Trinidad did...

I enjoyed Mayweather vs. De La Hoya...
I frankly dont understand this fight. Just like I dont understand why Roy Jones makes ppv fights with semi-nobodies like Prince Abooboo and Hanshaw.
guess there are at least SOME people that buy it...
