How would Prime Roy Jones do in the 1980's?

The Roy from 1993 to 2002

Lets say 1993 Roy fought Hagler, Hearns,Leonard at 160

1995 Roy fought Michael Nunn at 168

1997 thru 2002 Roy fought Michael Spinks at 175

With his speed, a prime R Jones Jr would be a relevant fighter in any age. He would face stiffer competition, but would still be a great fighter. Roy doesn't get enough credit for his natural gifts. He is not as fast he used to be. Age catches everyone in the long run, but in his prime, he would be tough to beat.

RJJ wouldn't stand a chance against neither Hagler and Hearns would just KTFO RJJ. His best chance is SRL. SRL would win a U.D A good fight BTW

I can't picture Roy making 160 lbs. pre-Mancini-Kim in 1982. Afterwards I can see him doing very well @ 160 until he outgrew the weight. I don't know about beating Hagler. While Hagler was starting to slow down around 1983-84, I think if he decides to be more aggressive and more of a brawler like he did versus Hearns instead of being more of a boxer-puncher, that suits him better against Roy. I think Roy beats Leonard (who peaked at 147) and Hearns @ 160.

I don't think Roy beats Spinks at LHW, though.

                Michael Nunn?

He was an 160 lb. champ until 1991.

LOL!! U seriously think RJJ would stand a chance against Hearns and Hagler. You people are idiots. Hearns has one of the best footwork in boxing and with his speed reach and power added to that RJJ would get KTFO. How would RJJ be able to get close to Hearns??? AND Hagler is just way to strong for RJJ and one swing for Hagler would put Glass Jaw Jones down. Like I said b4 he stands a better chance against SRL. I mean be real people stop defending the man you like.
