No way Calazaghe should be #3.

Probably #12, behind Rafael Marquez. He is off The Ring Magazine's P4P list, he is probably #11 there because he was last to go off.

If hatton beats mayweather - especially if he looks impressive doing it - he will be near the top of the rankings. If hatton is beaten badly by mayweather, he won't sniff another big fight in America. And won't see any p4p lists.

This fight is make-or-break for Ricky.
You've got to be kidding. What exactly do you think will happen if Hatton loses, do you think he will just disappear off the radar, are you honestly that ******? De La Hoya has already shown interest in a fight and with guys like Cotto, Mosley and now Malignaggi looking to fight at welterweight it is quite preposterous to suggest that Hatton wont sniff another big fight if he loses badly.

I'm tired of p4p being more about the decider's fetish for certain styles of fighting over actual results... take Winky off and put Hatton on.

The thing is people just expect Hatton to get beat down again the next time he steps up in opposition, whether it's at 140 or 147. Would anyone honestly pick him against any of the top 5 at welterweight?

I fail to see how a loss to the universally recognised P4P king would dramatically change the perception of Hatton's chances against other top fighters.

It doesn't. People already feel Hatton is a bum that is overhyped by a country lacking in quality boxers...
