Not so much a lucky punch as it happens in boxing but Herol Graham was easily beating Julian Jackson when.....Jackson threw this!

There is no luck in boxing, There is hard work and determination that reach you there.

Penalosa seen the opening and hit the liver shot, his training made him hit hard but if he wasnt training that will even if he found an opening he couldnt do it.

and just stop whining about luck because these fighters worked hard to reach to the top

I was going to mention this fight. Graham was winning every second of the fight until that bomb landed.
Also, Mickey Ward was losing every second of his fight with Alfonso Sanchez until he landed the body shot. Poor Sanchez was never the same after that fight.

IMO there is no such thing as a LUCKY PUNCH... unless you had some guy who never boxed before in against a guy that had and the beginner just threw a shot and landed it somehow with great results..fighters TRAIN to the throw punches, to deliver them the way they throw them at a given time...there are dramatic moments to land a punch.... but LUCK is not a part of the equation IMO...however I DO know what you mean when you say it in regard to this thread and IMO there is one single punch that epitomizes exactly what you are talking about and I don't think there is a better example of it anywhere in the history of boxing than this...this is THE ONE....THE G.O.A.T... A 15th round KO with just seconds to go in a fight where you lost almosry round up to that point...your chance at the world title is seconds away from being gone...and then... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BXjVcTpFSEg

Chavez was a lucky Punch. Taylor was winning heavily till the ref stopped the fight. Only difference is your Mexican, Gonzales is Mexican, Chavez is Mexican and your just being defensive. Its all good.

Tell em Iceman. Take it from a pro. Like I said...Each punch has an intended result and unfortunately for Jhonny the result was not in his favor. There are no lucky puches only unlucky recipients.

Foreman vs Michael Moorer - You can make a argument that foreman was setting him up for the right. He barely just missed connecting on abig right eariler in that round.

Donald Curry vs Mike McCallum - You can make a argument Curry made the fundamental mistake of leaning his head back .
