    Big Boxing Fan...

I met RON ARTEST out in front of MSG yesterday on 7th Ave.... he was just hanging out, people watching..... turned out to be a real cool, approachable guy and he surprised me when he told me he was a big boxing fan..and he wasnt just talking, either. Most guys bring up Tyson, Holyfield, Roy Jones... but he was saying how he would love to Pavlick fight Calzaghe, he liked Hopkins-Wright fight, stuff like that. After the fan brawl he had a few years ago I expected a much different guy but he was real cool from what I saw.

      a) Who's the chubby chick in your avatar? Should I recognize her?

      b) Why couldn't Artest KO that Turtle-from-Entourage-looking dude with two free shots?

      c) It was in the news awhile back that Artest wanted to go pro in boxing .

      d) What happened to Kendall Gill's boxing career?

Maybe Ron is an ok guy until he's provoked or he is on the court and in the zone. He's probably had to do counseling anger management, etc. to help control himself.

If everybody that had somesort of anger fuled outburst needed counseling to "control themselves" nobody would have time to work, eat or do yard work because they would all be in therapy to have some guy in a suit tell them what they already know...you get your buttons pushed enough times on the wrong day in a certain way in certain circumstances and you will go off...everybody on this board included.

Welcome back Ice Man. Haven't seen you on in a while. I met Artest right before he was drafted & he was real cool back then too. I had no idea he was a fight fan either. Are you still training Jose Antonio Rivera? If so you have to get him & Vernon Forrest in a fight. That's a guaranteed all action fight & a very winnable fight for Rivera too.
