I Dont think MOSLEY can stop COTTO

The same question for both the Mosley/Cotto and Mayweather/Hatton fights.
While the bodypuncher is trying to put in work downstairs, what will the crisp-punching, quick-handed guy be doing upstairs?
And if the bodypuncher is being effectively countered, how much can he take?Comment

I think your right about its a fight with who gets there first. There's a saying in boxing "be first". If this was ever prevelant for a big fight...this would be the one. Im not sure if Cotto can hurt Mosley to the body but Im damn sure Mosley can outbox Cotto. Mosley is going to upset Cotto's rythym and beat him rather easily. They are going to call it a robbery and they are going to fight a 2nd and 3rd time. They are going to milk this kid for all he's got.this is a great match up, i think both guys can win, but i think that it would be an easier win and fight for cotto.
but with that being said, i'm going to sound like a scratched record here, but like i've said before, if mosley is to stun cotto, cotto is in some serious hot water, because i don't recall anyone getting stunned by mosley and not get out of the ring without being stopped. mosley is a finisher and he's probably the smartest and most gifted fighter that cotto has faced, and on the flip side i think cotto is the toughest fighter that mosley has faced. but mosley knows how to take advantage of the opportunities present, he knows how to expose any flaw and ***** in anyones armor. cotto does have defensive flaws, flaws that have had him on the canvas, flaws that have had cotto stunned and have had cotto reaching deep to find what he's made of, and he's pulled through, but that was against guys who don't have the talent, the skill, the patients, and the mind of mosley.
is mosley the fastest, hardest puncher that cotto has faced, who knows, that is arguable from any angle really. but mosley is the most complete package that cotto has faced. the guys that have beaten mosley were bigger than him, bigger and taller, and had a good defense.
winky had that turtle shell defense which was tough to crack, even for mosley, and mosley was the smaller guy, it was a bad match up for mosley style wise and size wise.
and forrest, was taller, longer reach and knew how to neutralize mosley with his jab and set him up. but the kicker when it came to forrest beating mosley were the clinches on the inside, especially in the second fight, forrest stopped all inside fighting with mosley and tied him up every time after he threw and got on the inside. mosley couldn't get anything off. cotto doesn't fight that way, which leaves him open more then if he did fight in a clinching manner.
all in all it's a good fight either guy can win, i think in this fight it's who gets there first..........Comment

Your twisting my words.....I did'nt even recognize Rivera because it's irrelevent.how bout this tho If Cotto fought Rivera before his 18th pro fight, do you think it's possible he might go down? What I'm saying is comparably based on fighting weight and the speculated opponent Mosley will be a huge step up for Cotto....who is coming off a fight with the best opponent he has ever faced in Judah.I just think if Mosley can practically 1 punch KO a guy like he pretty much did against Vargas the 2nd time he has more than a good shot at stoppin g Cotto should he land a similar punch.Comment

I'm leaning towards Mosley right now, although this is the only fight I'm not entirely sure about. If Cotto wasn't so damn tough, he'd have zero chance. Toughness and heart can take you a long way, but he has skill too. Just not like Mosley. Mosley didn't look shot at all in the Collazo fight, even though Collazo is an upper B level fighter at best. He displayed all the tricks that an aging fighter needs to display in order to stay on top as long as possible. I'm not sure Mosley is ready to give up his spot among the elite Welters just yet. We will have to wait and see.Comment

Let's not forget Mosely is a very skilled body puncher and knows most of the tricks of the trade. Mosely has problems against taller fighters that utilize a good jab, have good movement, and fight tall. Cotto doesn't fit that description and is probably either the same height or even shorter than Mosely. Unless Mosely ages overnight, I just can't see Cotto beating him.Comment
