Mosley may just take a dive in this one.. but it will NEVER be by a (T)KO
I certainly don't want to see that happen. I don't think Shane is the type to take a dive but hell, I thought that about Oscar too. I'll be very disappointed in Shane if he takes a dive against Cotto, especially when he has the ability to beat him. And what for? To make Oscar more money? That guy ****s hundred dollar bills for christ's sake.

Coming into a fight with Cotto, Mosley IS the bigger fighter, what makes you think that Cotto will KO Mosley?

Get that supid idea out of your ass..
LOL. Forrest was seconds away from knocking mosley out, and dropped him 2 times in the 2nd round!

Vargas was as far gone as any fighter in the game, including morales and gatti.

Wright nearly stopped mosley as well. Had him in some trouble in the last round. Had he been a little more active he probably could have ended it.

Mosley dominated Collazo but was rocked twice by straight right hands.

If thats not enough evidence, consider the fact that Vargas was maybe on his way to victory if the fight had not be stopped due to that swelling.

Cotto can DEFINETLY stop Mosley. not question about it. Maybe if you watched a fight or two of Mosleys, u know a bit more about what u were talking about

I'll give you 2:1 odds if Cotto Wins by stoppage...

Definitely disagree with you there. If anyone could stop Cotto Mosley could. He outworked the much YOUNGER Collazo so I don't see how his legs are gone. He's been putting his punches together pretty nicely & has regained alot of his lost confidence. Not mention he's fighting someone his own size for a change. Like I said in a previous post I'm not so sure that someone will out fight Mosely; he can definitely be outboxed but there's not too many fighters that would beat him in a shoot-out.

see i knew u were gonna say that.

If Cotto stops Mosley, its not gonna have anything to do with Mosleys chin. IF Cotto dominates Mosley, which i think is possible, then he'll be breaking Mosley down round by round and possible getting a referee stoppage.

I dont think Cotto can rock Molsey either. MOsley has an outstanding chin.

Cotto cannot stop Mosley. And Mosley will be active enough to keep Cotto from coming forward non stop. I think the other way around. I believe Cotto would go down before Mosley does. Mosley is tough and can take some good shots. And he's a very good finisher. If Cotto is hurt Mosley will go for the kill.

I think Cotto es good fighter but his opponents are bums. Is not the Shane Mosley of 25 years old.

Cotto has the Pacman syndrome. He fights with old big names but never with a class A with 25 years old like Cintron, Williams or MArgarito.

And the guys you listed faced elite competition right? Come on now, stop hating man. Sure Mosley isn't in his prime, but no matter how you slice it, he still dominated a former titlist in his last outing.

Cotto has faced much better competition than those guys, aside from Margarito, who has faced good competition as of late.

like a Paul Williams, but I think Mosley is to old to seriously outwork Cotto, even though Cottos style could allow for Mosley to pull off tons of fan friendly combinations.

I do however, think Cotto can stop Mosley. Mosley is getting old, his legs can't possible all be there u know? I think some great body work early, with the work rate and power Cotto has, can really pay off in the late rounds. And Cotto may stop Mosley.

thoughts? Am i playing to much into Mosleys age do u think? Cause he did look damn good against Collazo... but lets remember that Collazo doesnt have a body attack, doesnt punch as hard, and doesnt have as high a work rate.
i don't think your playing up on mosleys age . it has to be figured in .

a simplistic way of looking at it is answer these questions:
                    as fast as paulie
                    smarter than paulie
                    gets hit less than paulie
can take cottos power better than paulie
                    throw harder punches than paulie
imo yes to all the above.
a question mark where stamina is concerned. but mosleys one of the smartest.
and he's back with his dad as trainer.

i agree kball. i think cotto will win strictly because he is younger, stronger and a little more determined to prove people wrong.
