Yeah the Ali that was already showing signs of parkinsons. And also 8 years past his best. Holmes was also 8 years past his best.
Yep he did. He keeps comming out with these bull**** theorys, he seems to think Tyson can walk on water, and Marciano was the best fighter to ever walk the planet! Im thinking he's 12 yearsold and just recently mommy bought him a Ring magazine so now he thinks he knows more about boxing than Bert sugar.Originally posted by DeliverymanDid this dude just say Tyson was 10x better than Frazier?
Tyson was good for the 1st few rounds, stay with him break his spirit then the fights all over.Comment

A prime Tyson was only good for a few rounds? Some of you guys are delusional. Tyson's pace rarely slowed when in later rounds in his prime. Watch some 10 or 12 round fights of a Prime Tyson before giving out absurd postsYeah the Ali that was already showing signs of parkinsons. And also 8 years past his best. Holmes was also 8 years past his best.

I never mentioned the word "pace" What i meant was if he was chasing Ali around the ring i belive ALI would break his spirit within a few rounds. I never explained myself properly.Last edited by stefjonno1; 08-11-2007, 02:51 AM.Comment

But that's the point: Tyson's physical attributes were astonishing but his main weapon was winning the fight before he stepped into the ring. Look at how timid Frank Bruno was with him. All those guys he smashed through were more interested in avoiding getting too badly hurt. The first time he ran into a guy who couldn't be intimidated he lost.
Tyson could have been an all time great with his early career abilities but he relied too much on the mental game and once that failed him he could never be the same fighter again. And Ali is the best heavyweight all-time at the mental game. He would win the mental battle before the opening bell just like he did with Sonny Liston, who he was expected to lose to.Comment
