To my understanding excessive clinching is not allowed in boxing but an exception has been made for Hatton and other fighters latelely. This is not a style this **** is ruining the sport and others are adopting it

some of the greatest fighters to ever put on a pair of gloves have used the hold and hit technique before. you would see a lot of old school heavyweights do this. hatton is very good at it because he has so much stamina and his holding wears the opponents down. then he lands a big body shot to end the fight.
