I don't know why people are mentionning the Cotto fight as if it proved something bad about Paulie. If it proved anything, it was that Malignaggi has a great heart and a good/maybe great chin. He had his moments against Miguel Cotto.

That being said, I don't think he'd embarass Chavez Jr.- but he would win it convincingly.

Am I the only one who thinks that JC Jr would beat Paulie, come on who has paulie fought besides cotto (who he lost to) and N'dou a fight in wich the ref clearly didn't allow N'dou to do his work.

I agree. and chavez jr. has not fought anybody with any kind of a name. of course he is going to look good against all bums, anybody would. he is taking this fight too soon. his managers should have stepped chavez's level of competition up before jumping into a fight with a champion like Malinaggi. Chavez jr. will get beat and embarrased. i know he will. look at what happen to jeff lacy when he fought all bums and jumped in with a champion. He was crushed and now he is probably shot. Chavez jr. should not take this fight yet.

i know chavez aint really beat anyone meaningful yet
but how can yall claim he is a c level fighter or
this and that when he hasnt lost yet.
was mayweather a c class fighter because the first
15 fights because they were nobodies? he was still
a great fighter then when he had his first fight.

i have a bit of mexican/italian in me so i am a bit torn on who would win. But i would have to say JCC jr would take it. The way he throws them shots to the body would break paulie down. For paulie to stand a chance he would have to use both hands not just the jab. He might have a iron chin but that wont help his body one bit. Let me just say though it would be a big step up in challange for JCC jr though, he would be put to the test without a doubt.

Floyd did not have over 30 wins still fighting bums. and i never really seen floyds opponents just stand there and get beat up. they always fought back unlike chavez's opponents. chavez jr is at the stage in his carrer where he needs to be tested. he could have a weak chin nobody knows about, no heart, who knows. and how can we find out if he is fighting nobodys? of course he looks good beating up all these bums, but it means nothing now. people wants to see him get tested and prove himself.

If Paulie came up to 147 to fight Junior, and I don't see another way of doing it, I think Chavez wins that fight. Paulie is too small for WW, he should stay at Jr. WW and dominate there.

Exactly, Chavez Jr. looks like a natural Middleweight. I actually give him a great chance to win.
