Now as for the debate at hand....

The heavyweight division is dominated by Euro honkeys right now because america's athleticly talented big men don't go near the sport of boxing. The NFL contains the most athleticly gifted big men in the world. If these freakish ****mens such as the likes of Daunte Culpepper, Donovan Mcnabb, Jamarcus Russel who combine sickly quickness, power, and speed were to choose career paths in boxing america would still own these Euro goobers without question. The Europeans haven't changed, the americans have.

##BTW I'm not saying the above names I've mentioned would be great boxers simply using the example of that type of athlete that dominates american sports.
EXACTLY. Even Bert Sugar admits that all the best heavyweights in the world currently reside in the NFL.

A bit racist are we? So you're mad that there are too many good whites in the division? That's what you seem to have said.

I'm sorry if your interest in boxing is limited by racial considerations. MIne isn't

        I agree.
I dont think the Heavyweight division is that much worse than some of the other poor divisions, but being that its the Heavyweight division, which is supposed to be the most popular and most exciting, its not allowing boxing to flow back into mainstream sports.
Boxing becoming popular and it has nothing to do with the heavyweight division.

i dont think the heavyweights are exciting and ive mostly watched the big names that i think are really good, of the last 15 years ive practically just watched holyfield, tyson and lewis, lewis being my favorite, but ive always thought that just the outstanding heavyweights are fun to watch, the other "contenders" are always closer to being journeymen...but any fight with wlad and chagaev i would watch...the other guys have no chance against those guys, and peter sucks, he got a gift against a 230 pound, 5'9'', old, former middleweight....vitali is still whining about lennox and hasnt fought in more than 2 years, ibragimov has a draw with ray austin for crying out loud....

You could as well say that if they played football in Eastern Europe, those guys would dominate the NFL.

I wouldn't say that because it's a ****** hypothetical, but it would have the same value as the claim you make

I think the HW division is not bad, there is a lot of new fighters with promising futures coming about. The champs right now are pretty good except for Maskaev cause he's old.

Do you feel inferior to black people?

Why do you refer to white people as 'honkeys'? That's not a normal thing for one of us to do.

I disagree, I think Vick., McNabb, Vince Young, and many other freak NFL players are far better atheletes than the likes of Maskaev, Imbrigamov, Chagaev and Valuev.

I was talking only about the value of the hypothical, "if our best athletes . . . " It's useless. If you can't box, you can't box. There's no point in speculating in what you could be good at. Hell I could have been a world-class painter if I took drawing class . . . .

The first paragraph was not meant to be taken at face value.

And "better athletes" is an aweful abstraction anyway. One of the flaws in American sports these days is that we believe too much in "athleticism," not any developed technique applied to specific sports in specific situations. McNabb is very good, but not the best at what he does (and I'm an Eagles fan). How can you say the fifth or sixth best quarterback in the NFL is a better "athlete" than the heavyweight champ? It's meaningless. Achievement and skill are the only things.
