it depends on how he lose??

Hatton's going to be the liveliest competition he's faced in quite some time. Floyd'll still win I feel.
If he loses we might see the best of Floyd. He will take on the biggest challenges to recover face. As pointed out he is an arrogant and unpleasant S.O.B. who has on occasion whalloped his wife some. IF he loses he'll have to take on the toughest to regain his bragging rights and that's what I think matters most to him.
I suspect that a loss to Hatton is the only way we see Floyd take on Williams. Assuming Williams is as dominant as a lot of observers think he could be (only time will tell) and the fact that he is a rough match for even the biggest welters, Floyd won't fight him unless he is in dire need of the reputation.
I think he'll fight Hatton, win, then retire rather than face the cream of welters all of whom will be tough but winnable because the risk isn't worth the reward for him.
That's the reason he isn't loved.

If he does lose, I hope he loses so bad that there would be no point of a rematch
