Pleasing the Crowd "lets get serious"

Stop the BS.........No boxer wants to loose. 99% of them aren't trying to please the crowd. Boxers try to win with what skill they have in the best possible way they can.

Because a boxer stands in front of his opponent and gets ****ed up does not mean that he is trying to please his you. His coach would argue that this is not part of the game plan.

The fact that a boxer can get out of the way of a punch should be applauded and rewarded. Stop living in a dream world. Bad defense does not equal pleasing the crowd.

Pleasing the crowd is an excuse for guys with no skill who try to justify losses or suggest they won because they "made the fight".

The crowd can be a funny factor when your throwing in the ring. You dont really hear them, yet you do. Its almost subliminaly that they plant seeds in your sub conscious and the next thing you know your throwing in the trenches hearing them roar. In time you learn to block it completely out, or what you believe to be completely. But somewhere out there, in the crowd a small voice is getting through. And then another and another and again the next thing you know your throwing in the trenches....................Rockin'

It goes to the definition of sport. Are we paying to see the best or are we paying to be entertained? Things change over time and things become melded as team sports became extremely popular... and still are.

And getting knocked out. I agree.....very few boxers have mastered blocking things out and keeping cool.

Zab Judah is a victim of crowd pleasing. He is very immature and pays for it in the ring.

Hit and dont be hit, that is the game. Sure the crowd loves the brawls but the purest just loves the art. Of the blows that send them to the canvas as well as the blows that were masterfully slipped and countered, the art is there. People tend to believe that boxing is all about the fists and who hits harder, they never seem to comprehend that the feet work with the fists and are just as important.....................Rockin'

No its a very big diffrence. When I buy a fight on PPV I already know I am gonna be entertained beecause
                    1. I am a boxing fan
                    2. because the fighter fighting eachother are great fighters. I like the PBF vs DLH. I also like the Hopkins vs Winky wich not alot of people liked.
Entertaining is ohh!! I wonder how he's gonna deal with this and that or if its even gonna happen. I fight I would rely be entertained by is Paul William vs PBF. That would be cool.
