Just curious Yes I know he had no amatuer career either but he's more solid than plenty who have had amatuer and then go pro.

Yup, Chavez Jr. will continue to beat up on midwestern cab drivers just like his overrated father. What a bum.

He was supposedly going to fight Gatti, that's probably off but I think he's going to start stepping it up now.

like father like son...chavez jr is actually a solid fighter, id say he's about equal to joel julio....a good fighter but not good enough to win a belt in a loaded welterweight division

Yup. Who did Chavez actually beat that was an elite fighter? He had to have Richard Steele help him pull out the victory against Taylor who was boxing his ears off and making him look foolish. He lost to Frankie Randall and Grover Wiley for Christ Sakes!!! Then whenever he stepped up to fight an elite fighter he got demolished by Oscar and Tszyu. Like I said, "overrated".

JCC jr claimed he was going to fight Alfonso Gomez by the end of the year.

i'd be happy if he fights gomez. decent enough test and it will make for a great fight.

he has to start fighting 12 rounders as well.
