I think it takes awhile to play with R-inho. You think he is attacking for a shot, and then the ball is on top of you unprepared. He is like that great point guard who makes one pass too many sometimes.

remember in the world cup when he got the red card for fouling C.Ronaldo?
That was Ricardo Carvalho that Rooney had stood on after being fouled about four or five times and staying on his feet. Kirsty-Anne Ronaldo was the cheeky little **** who influenced the referee to send Rooney off, and the decision was completely unjustified.

If I could pick one soccer player to spend a week in the NFL it would be Ronaldo, just to watch him get crushed.

yea but i don't think the decision was unjustified, Rooney kept talking back to the ref over and over, he was not accepting the ref's decision, he made a whole big deal out that which it shouldn't have been, even though C.R was partly at fault, Rooney should have kept his cool.

                    I've always meant to ask:

What is it about the UK kids (and germans) that they don't play a "pretty" game?

By do you guys relish the grind-it-out tackling game rather than the elegant and fluid game played by the brazilians, french, spaniard, portuguese and italians?

its more about the brazilians, well latin players, and the french being better skilled players..then the germans and english not wanting to play attractive football...

...if u go far abck into history...its always been the same..with few exceptions..french have their galic flair...germans have always been workman-like...with a few superstars here n there....the latino's are more adept on the ball...more skillful....and their football leagues have been more techinal then the english or german leagues for a long time...and hence would breed certain types of players when playing for their national teams
