Good that you bring up the Corely fight though, that is one fight MW got too offensive in and he paid for it, though I wouldn't exactly consider Corely a guy who's near Floyd in terms of talent or status, then, now , or ever....Same goes with the rest of those guys...In fact every guy you just listed was a tailor made, chosen fighter by Floyd's camp knowing they'd win. Yeah, Corely, he tagged floyd pretty good..maybe that's why floyd hesitated to fight like that with dlh...
    a) You are being disingenuous if you describe Oscar as just "a guy who's been stopped". Oscar has shown a tremendous chin. Oscar was stopped once - on a body shot by a very big Middleweight.

Delahoya has 70+ rounds vs Shane, Quartey, Vargas, Hopkins, Mayorga, and Trinidad . Oscar's chin/durability should not be in doubt.

    b) In the instances where Floyd had to trade with Oscar, he did. See here:

That is about a third of the fight. PBF wasn't running. He was boxing. And look how many times Oscar took steps back because PBF was punching. OSCAR promised to make it "a rough, tough, dirty fight" and failed to do that. Don't fault the little guy for not turning it into a brawl.

    c) C'mon, man. Those guys weren't "tailor made". That represented nearly the entire power structure from 130 to 140 over the past ten years. The only two guys that PBF didn't fight are Freitas and Casamayor. And I fault PBF for not making the Casa fight happen.

PBF offered SHane a fight at 135. And again last summer.
    Hatton turned down multiple offers.
Arum said that he didn't want to put Cotto in with Floyd.
Tszyu had injuries and was inactive. Declined an offer.
Judah was a very dangerous fight.
A TON of boxers and trainers picked DLH to win.
Corrales was a pick 'em fight.
PBF took a Castillo rematch that he didn't have to.
....am I lying about anything here?

    d) It sounds like you are blaming FMJ for beating guys who aren't on his level. But when someone isn't on your level, what do you do? You beat them. He never half-assed it or showed up in iffy condition.

        ..................

Everybody loses...im sure Mayweather will eventually lose as well...even Ali lost and he's considered the greatest...what i dont agree with is that alot of people who have no sense of boxing knowledge always say yea this is the guy that will beat him...eventually he'll lose and ull say see i told u so that guy was gonna beat him... but that shows u have no boxing knowledge...im not saying floyd cant lose but every guy he fights is not gonna be competitive... at least when u know he's gonna fight a bum say so... dont make it out like every guy can beat him... now if u hate the guy cause he isnt humble or isnt quiet and low key... thats another story..but its funny most ****y people i meet dont like ****y people...most people dont pursue their dreams... and hating him for his outside antics is being a gay ****er...a metrosexual at best...when i watch a fight i wanna see what the boxer does...i dont give a shyt if he's ****in so and so..or if he partys too much or if he drives to fast... when u add that to your critique of a boxer it shows jealousy and a need to suck a ****... where have the real men gone...and not these spoon fed everything at the touch of a button *****'s.... the only thing u need to look at is an undefeated boxer with yet another opponent coming...................

That's an opinion that you are entitled to....but I couldn't help noticing that you couldn't factually challenge anything I said.

Your opinion is no less biased than mine, champ.

            ...............

Square ...no pun intended...every fighters camps set them up along the way of their carrer... and ur supposed to hype a fight like an all out brawl...even if ur gonna stick and move... and ur critizism of floyd is because u dont like how he fights...now me personally i dont like hatton i think he's overrated...i think he's overrated because he hasnt fought stiff competition...but i would never dislike a boxer for the way he chooses to fight... or the way he chooses to carry out his fight plan to gain himself the win...aside from his less than stellar opponents he keeps winning...i gotta give him credit for that but i think against floyd he's dealing with a style and a level he cant win against... so stop assuming that boxing has to be the way u see it...and instead try to appreciate the way each indivisual boxer carries out his fight plan in order to try and secure a victory.....

I'm going to bed, but wanted to say you make the most sense in this thread so far. People lose sense of the upcoming fights on this site, because they are too busy worrying about bull**** that don't matter in the ring. If people want GOOD guys they should join a knitting website.

I don't care one way or another . I just wan't to see a Mayweather fight where he doesn't take like a 9 foot jump away from an opponent after landing a punch.
