ESPN boxing used to be good, not as good as USA Tuesday night fights but pretty good when the had Sean O'grady as the announcer now it's just a disgrace. , No fight ever just goes normally, the network is overbearing, usually their fights are lackluster, they push their political agenda constantly, I hate it the way it is now. Solo Boxeo on telefutura is better and I dont even speak Espangais.
It is so rigged and they like to point fingers but they should be pointing at themself, they control everything that goes on. Like in one fight the guy they were hyping broke his hand so the opponent who was there obviously for nothing more than just to lose just stopped punching and working all together so the guy with broken hand could cruise his way to a descision just throwing a few punches a round with his one good hand.
The guests they have sometime like Marvin Hagler is one good thing about it.
Commentary/Analysists' knowledge
Showtime IMO because they don't get all preachy and annoying with metaphors and **** like HBO does and ESPN has the worst cause teddy atlas absorbs so much of the commentary they should fire him and let joe do the whole thing
Quality of entertaining fights
Showtime, then HBO, Espn always has the most boring fights it seems like and if the last round has some action they r like WHAT AN AMAZING FIGHT!!!! hoping you wont remember the previous 11 rounds
HBO:
Lennox is an OKAY commentator. He talks from experience so I can deal with that, but he lost a lot of credibility when he praised Andre Dirrell. *vomits*
Larry Merchant usually is on point with what he is talking about. He provides good conversation for the rest of the panel and uses very good metaphors to prove a point.
Harold Lederman usually is on point, but there has been times where I'm like "ugh.....what?" lol
Jim Lampley is good, but sometimes biased.
Showtime:
They have great commentators that know what they want and see.
You can rely on them for accurate analysis.
ESPN:
Teddy Atlas and Joe Tessitore provide great commentary and Atlas' pre-fight analysis' ARE AMAZING, the guy def. knows what fighters need to do to win.
tough decision, but HBO is indeed more consistent with big fights...
i disagree with the larry merchant assessment
larry has NO CLUE what he is talking about and he is obviously biased and hates certain fighters
he's a dumb ass drunk
but lennox is on point most of the time and i wish roy was still on there
lampley gives inaccurate descriptions on the action in the ring and he is biased too
i like max kellerman because he actually has knowledge of the sport and isnt afraid to stand up to lampley or the other commentators
but hbo wins easily
they have the best fighters and the best fights and matchups
i do like berstein on showtime he knows what he is talkin about and they have good fights on occasion
espn has the fighters who are on their way up in the game and are gearing for prime avenues like hbo or showtime
teddy atlas and tessitore are annoying
hbo>>>>everyone else
this year alone they are airing the biggest fights
Showtime, then HBO, Espn always has the most boring fights it seems like and if the last round has some action they r like WHAT AN AMAZING FIGHT!!!! hoping you wont remember the previous 11 rounds
so for me, showtime
LOL yeah Joe Tessitore always does that. Him and Teddy Atlas engaging in coversation then at the end Joe says that lol.
HBO shouldn't have that many votes... i'm afraid that alot of people are voting for HBO simply because they don't have Showtime.. so i don't believe this poll
cause there's no way if you stack up all of Showtimes cards and all of HBO cards over the last 2-3 years and which are PPV and free (in a since), there's no way HBO could come close to Showtime's calibur of "worth-it" programming

I agree. And as far as rosters go, HBO has a bigger boxing budget - but a lot of "their" fighters who show up, often in in mismatches on their network, were on Showtime long before they were on HBO.
Just a few:
Ricky Hatton, Joe Calzaghe, Kermit Cintron, Juan Diaz, Jeff Lacy, Evander Holyfield (way back when), Bernard Hopkins (way back when), Samuel Peter, Paulie Malignaggi, Rocky Juarez...
Also, Fox Sports Net > ESPN when they do their Best Damn Telecasts... with Rose, Byrd, Salley doing the pre- and post- fight hype, Barry Thompkins and Rich Marotta on commentary, better quality fighters for the most part, and the feeling of a bigger event instead of some guys with mics just showing up in an armory during the middle of a show where people got free tickets on the radio or passes placed under their windshields while they were inside K-Mart shopping...
