he fought winky with heart...winky just had a smart gameplan
sit your five doller ass down before I make change.

watch how you use the word clearly, he didn't 'clearly' do anything, in fact of both fights with hopkins its taylor who was hurt more out of either fight...he didn't win 'clearly' over anyone, both were controversial victories.

why is jermain taylor hated on?

    1. northerners hate on him because they think he's acts like an uncle tom
    2. his style is not fan friendly
    3. he doesnt take enough chances
    4. he got hurt by a 40 year old man and held on for dear life
    5. he is a paper champion
    6. spinks almost beat him, this is a guy who the seemingly much smaller judah KO'd
    7. the killer instinct isnt there
    8. he lacks the dominant champion vibe
    9. he always looks like the ring is the last place he wants to be, when he's in the ring

Did you see the Ouma fight? He was nailing him with alot of good shots. Ouma was just tough as hell. And Spinks ran the whole time. Its hard to show heart in the fight when your opponent doesn't want to engage with you.
I guess what I am saying is.. Well boxing ..Like most sports is 90% mental.. I am not saying he has No heart.. I mean His heart is Not in IT... Inside he knows he not the Champ.. so he is having a hard time behaving like a champ.. In and out of the ring.. There is No swagger.. No unflappable confidence.. And I suspect it has to do with feelings Of being a Fraud.. The Guy is obvioulsy MUCH more talented than he has shown of late.. WHY?? whats eating Him?

      Second Guessing Himself..

Yeah because Spinks ran the whole time but it doesn't add up. If Spinks was more dominant how come he didn't outland Jermain. I thought that if you outwork your opponent and dominate them you should have landed more punches. Taylor landed more total punches so how do you see Spinks dominating that fight. And Taylor landed more powerful shots and he brought excitement to the crowd when he landed. Spinks didn't do that.

The fact of the matter is he still is undefeated. How is he a paper champion if he beat the undisputed champ to take his belts and won the rematch. What the **** are you talking about? Enough chances. He fought B-Hop and Winky and now is defending his title against another undefeated dangerous opponent. The same opponent that made Miranda look like ****. And everybody knows how feared and powerful Miranda is. So again what the **** are you talking about?

I love Taylor fans, because they get bitched the hardest when the facts come out.

In his first fight with Hopkins, Taylor averaged just 33 punches thrown in rounds eleven and twelve of the first fight and was in serious trouble throughout the final three minutes, this was after being hurt in I forget which middle round it was, when he got stuck with a counter cross and held onto the old man like a little baby, at that point in time, he looked about as helpless as an infant...

Fast forward to Wright, which was the most unconvincing victory I've seen since DLH beat Sturm, Wright had a 226-163 edge in total connects, landing 35% to Taylor 23%. Taylor averaged 59 punches thrown per round vs. Winky, who landed 40% of his power shots. As expected, Winky had a 103-41 edge in jab connects. Taylor did average 26 jabs thrown per round vs. Winky and only 15 per round vs. Ouma. Power shots saw Taylor landing 122 of 395 (31%), to 123 of 308 for Winky. Those 226 connects by Wright were the most landed vs. Taylor in any of his fights...Jermain Taylor is also not all there upstairs, he isn't super confident, he doesn't have a brash outspoken personality, he's just a calm take no chances kinda guy and he's the same person inside the ring ...On top of that, all his best wins are highly, highly controversial victories...He has never had a real 'victory'...

So, in short, you see a non dominant champion, who was at first AFRAID TO FIGHT KELLY PAVLIK...THAT'S RIGHT, HE TOLD MERCHANT "I'LL FIGHT ANYONE FOR THE MOST MONEY" ...YOU COULD SEE THE FEAR IN HIS FACE WHEN PAVLIKS NAME CAME UP, THEN HE IMMEDIATELY BEGAN KISSING PAVLIKS ASS......THEN TALKING ABOUT HOW HE DIDNT WANT ANY PART OF PAVLIK......THAT IS NOT HOW A CHAMPION IS SUPPOSED TO ACT....stop trying to make Taylor look like a modern Hagler, Hagler could beat three Taylors in one night.......Kindly sit down, thx...

Because he fought two future hall of famers at such an early stage of his carrer and made them look average.

He is the most UNdominant Middleweight champ... EVER.

The thing that annoys me about him is that he's skilled, but seems to be a complete idiot. Everybody he fights (whether they win or lose) always set the pace of the fight. Taylor coasts on his athleticism, and never tries to use ring smarts.

Winky beat him. B-Hop beat him. Spinks danced all around him and won the fight, IMO. Hell, he got pressured back by Kassim Ouma- a 154 graduate.
